Publication number: 20060266787Abstract: An electric stapler is provided. In this electric stapler, a driver arm is made to oscillate by making a toggle link mechanism operate by a connecting rod that performs a crank operation by a driving gear driven to rotate by a motor. A staple is put into sheets of paper by means of a driver provided at a top end of the driver arm by downward movement of the driver arm. A clinch arm is made to oscillate by a cam provided in the driving gear. Both legs of the staple penetrating through the sheets of paper are clinched by means of a clincher by upward turning of the clinch arm caused by a paper-thickness adjusting spring provided between the clinch arm and the toggle link mechanism. Due to this structure, driving load can be reduced and formation precision of each component does not affect clinching precision directly.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 25, 2006Publication date: November 30, 2006Applicant: MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD.Inventor: Toshikazu Ura

Patent number: 6820790Abstract: An electric stapler capable of handling multiple sheets of paper. A motor-driven pair of wheel gears turn a swing arm having a symmetrical structure for driving a staple firing assembly and a clinch mechanism, thereby applying large pressure uniformly on staples. The clinch mechanism bends staple legs in different directions so that they do not overlap each other, preventing the clinched part of paper from increasing in the thickness of the stacked paper.Type: GrantFiled: September 12, 2003Date of Patent: November 23, 2004Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., LtdInventor: Toshikazu Ura

Patent number: 5687040Abstract: In a cassette loading device of a compact, lightweight, thin type for use in a video tape player or the like, an opening lever is pivotally mounted on a stand, and is engaged in a cam groove with a top plate. With this arrangement, the opening lever is accommodated within a longitudinal dimension of a cassette, and therefore the loading device in the direction of the longitudinal dimension of the cassette can be greatly reduced. The cassette is moved through the pivotal movement of the top plate and arms, and with this arrangement operating switches and so on can be easily mounted on a plane of projection of the top plate. Therefore, the positional stability of the cassette loading device can be achieved, and the number of component parts can be reduced, thereby achieving a compact, lightweight construction of the cassette loading device.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 1994Date of Patent: November 11, 1997Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hiroshi Shiokawa, Toshikazu Ura, Akio Konishi, Hideaki Yoshio
