  • Publication number: 20020016874
Abstract: An information network 200 extends between a first information relaying apparatus 20 and a terminal 23, which are equipped with existing circuit multiplexing modules 39. Signals from the information relaying apparatus 20 pass through additional information relaying apparatuses 21, 22, which relay signals output from the information relaying apparatus 20. The information relaying apparatuses 21, 22 associate LAN lines between the information relaying apparatus 20 and the terminal 23 into separate groups and effectively monitor these LAN lines. If a failure is detected, then all LAN lines belonging to the group of the LAN line experiencing the failure are effectively shut down. As a result, circuit multiplexers 39 in the information relaying apparatus 20 are then instructed to use a different LAN line that is not experiencing failure so that communication can continue.

  • Publication number: 20010054109
Abstract: In a method of distributing a frame to a line during line aggregation communications, a transmission side data processing apparatus selects a line to which a frame is transmitted, so that the transmission data amounts of respective lines become uniform. Order information is inserted into the transmission frame and the frame is transmitted to the selected line. A reception side data processing apparatus sequentially executes a reception process for a received frame, in accordance with the order information derived from each received frame.

  • Patent number: 6237038
Abstract: A data communication system comprising a system processor, an application program assigned to an application buffer it controls, a communication protocol program assigned to a protocol buffer it controls, a communication controller for controlling communication lines, and transmitting and receiving buffers controlled by the communication controller. Data is copied at high speed among the application buffer, protocol buffer, and transmitting and receiving buffers in the same byte-based increments as those in which the system processor handles data. The fast data movement among the buffers boosts the throughput of the entire communication system.

  • Patent number: 6189053
Abstract: A communication control system and a method of implementing a high-speed data transmitting and receiving process uses a communication protocol program, a protocol buffer which is managed by the communication protocol program, a communication controller for controlling a transmission line and a network buffer managed by the communication controller. Further, there is provided a shared-buffer which is shared by the protocol buffer and a communication buffer. Frame data from a transmission line is shared by the shared-buffer, so that the frame data is directly written to and read from the shared-buffer by means of a shared-buffer control. Since the buffer is shared between the transmission line and the protocol, no excessive movement of data is required, thereby improving the throughput of the communication system as a whole.

  • Patent number: 6141338
Abstract: A server system constructed by a network using a known PBX in such a manner that information processing terminal equipment and server devices are held in normally-used extensions of the PBX together with other terminals such as telephones, facsimiles, etc. Logical channel numbers of packet links between the PBX and the information processing terminal equipment are assigned to electrically-connected server devices in association with each other and sent to users. The users sends server use data to corresponding destinations by data packets to which the logical channel numbers are applied. The PBX performs a packet exchange process such that the logical channel numbers are respectively associated with physical addresses of the server devices. If the PBX regards the users as improper users, then it does not inform the users of the logical channel numbers.

  • Patent number: 5845061
Abstract: A client server system has clients, a server of execution system, and a server of fault auxiliary system are connected. A process administrator is provided in each one of the server of execution system and the server of fault auxiliary system. When a fault has occurred in a disk processor in the server of execution system, the process administrator in the server of execution system transmits only "requests" relating to the disk processor among "requests" received from clients to the server of fault auxiliary system. A process administrator in the server of fault auxiliary system conducts corresponding server processing on the "requests" transmitted from the server of execution system.

  • Patent number: 5204949
Abstract: An ISDN communication controller or a multi-circuit communication controller is implemented in a sheet of communication adapter board. For each channel or circuit, a dedicated subprocessor section conducts communication processing. In each subprocessor section, a local bus is disposed to connect a CPU, a serial controller, and an RAM. In a main processor section controlling the subprocessors, a local bus is employed to connect a CPU, an RAM, and an ROM. In a system processor section exclusively achieving information processing, a system bus is used to connect a CPU and a main memory. The local buses are connected via respective controllers to an upper-level local bus. A shared RAM is connected via a controller to the upper-level local bus and the system bus. The controllers of the subprocessor sections translate addresses to be outputted from the main processor section to the upper-level local bus to supply translated addresses to the respective local bus.

  • Patent number: 4672668
Abstract: In order to produce and store a pattern of reference words for use in a speaker-dependent speech recognition system, the system prompts the operator of the system to speak standard words in a predetermined sequence. For this purpose, a prestored standard word is spoken by the system with a predetermined length, power and rhythm, and the operator then repeats the standard words while attempting to simulate the same predetermined length, power and rhythm. The standard word repeated by the operator is detected and processed to determine whether it meets a certain resemblance criteria with respect to the standard word as spoken by the system. If the standard word repeated by the operator does not meet the resemblance criteria, the system repeats the same standard word to prompt the operator to try again; and, if the standard word repeated by the operator meets the resemblance criteria, it is stored as a reference word. This operation is repeated for each of the sequence of prestored standard words.
