  • Patent number: 6255393
Abstract: The present invention provides an aqueous polymer dispersion which is advantageous in that the coating film as formed therefrom has excellent heat resistance even after being preserved at high temperature, and further has excellent transparency without possibility of becoming white turbid even when the drying temperature during the formation of the coating film is a low temperature of not higher than 100° C., and in that, when used as a release agent, the aqueous polymer dispersion will be an aqueous release agent which undergoes no deterioration of the releasibility even after being preserved at high temperature, and further, has excellent transparency.

  • Patent number: 5744532
Abstract: An injection molding binder permitting formation of a molded article incapable of sustaining such defects as a crack or an expansion at the degreasing step and allowing the degreasing treatment to be completed quickly, an injection molding composition, and a method for the production of a sintered member are disclosed. The powder injection molding binder contains a polymer (I) which is obtained by polymerizing a monomer component composed of 50 to 100% by weight of a long side chain-containing monomer and 0 to 50% by weight of other polymerizable monomer. The powder injection molding composition comprises the binder, a binder auxiliary, and a powdery material capable of sintering. The method for the production of a sintered member comprises the steps of injection molding the composition, subjecting the molded mass to a degreasing treatment, and sintering the degreased molded mass.

  • Patent number: 5534579
Abstract: A highly weather-resistant, single package, cross-linkable emulsion using an emulsion polymer (X) obtained by emulsion polymerization, in an aqueous medium, of polymerizable monomer ingredients (II) comprising (a) from 0.1 to 10% by weight of a polymerizable UV-ray stable monomer, (b) from 5 to 99.4% by weight of cycloalkyl group-containing polymerizable monomer, (c) from 0.5 to 40% by weight of a polymerizable monomer which contains the groups having reactivity with carboxyl groups and (d) from 0 to 94.4% by weight of other polymerizable monomer, in which the amount of the polymerizable monomers (a), (b), (c) and (d) in total is 100% by weight, by using a water soluble or water dispersible polymer (I) having a terminal alkyl group with an acid value of 200 or greater obtained by polymerizing a polymerizable monomer ingredient (A) containing an unsaturated carboxylic acid as an essential ingredient under the presence of an alkyl mercaptan of 6 to 18 carbon atoms.
