Abstract: A sheet handling apparatus for copying and transporting sheets which comprises an image processing apparatus containing an image processing face, a sheet processing device disposed above said image processing face and operative to move toward and away from said image processing face, a sheet transport device including a pair of wrapping connector driving devices constituted by a combination of chains and sprockets, said sheet transport device turning on itself to form a loop which passes between said image processing apparatus and said sheet pressing device in sequential, opposite directions, a driving mechanism for driving the sheet transport device, a sheet gripping mechanism connected to said wrapping connector driving device for gripping the edges of the sheet being transported, a sheet pickup device for successively selecting the sheets, one-by-one, for distribution to the sheet gripping mechanism, and a sheet discharge device for receiving and transporting sheets received from the sheet transport device

Abstract: In an information filing apparatus, a portion of an image read by a scanner is immediately displayed on a display screen, even though the display screen is smaller than the entire image to be read. When the display image corresponding to the image portion which has just been read by the scanner reaches a predetermined location of the display screen, the display image is scrolled in synchronism with an image reading operation of the scanner. The image portion which has just been read by the scanner is then displayed on the predetermined location of the display screen.

Abstract: A paper sheet attracting system includes a suction air casing and a paper sheet attracting unit which has a bottom wall provided with a plurality of air intake openings. The paper sheet attracting unit is movably connected to the suction air casing via a flexible duct. The paper sheet attracting system further includes a pressure roller for depressing the paper sheets to be supplied. The paper sheet attracting unit is rotatable around the pressure roller, whereby the paper sheet attracting unit rotates, when driven by a drive motor, in a manner that a contacting point of the pressure roller and the paper sheets functions as a support point of the rotation. The attracting suction force created through the air intake openings is varied depending on the thickness of the paper sheet.

The paper sheet attracting unit is slidably connected to the suction air casing via a flexible duct, and the paper sheet attracting unit is normally pulled downward so that the bottom wall contacts the uppermost paper sheet supported by a paper sheet holder. When the height of the uppermost paper sheet varies, the flexible duct allows the shifting of the paper sheet attracting unit so that the bottom wall of the paper sheet attracting unit contacts the uppermost paper sheet.

Abstract: A paper sheet attracting system includes a suction air casing, a paper sheet attracting unit which has a bottom wall provided with a plurality of air intake openings, and a pressure roller for depressing the paper sheets to be supplied. The leading edge of a paper sheet attracted by the paper sheet attracting unit is caught by a paper sheet feeding member for transferring the paper sheet. When the paper sheet feeding member is enabled, the pressure roller is driven to shift upward so that the pressure roller is separated from the paper sheets. Furthermore, when the paper sheet feeding member is enabled, the suction operation conducted by the paper sheet attracting unit is interrupted, whereby the paper sheet is transferred without disturbance.

Abstract: A paper sheet supplying system including a paper sheet attracting unit for attracting a paper sheet for feeding purposes, and a piled sheet feeding prevention unit which confronts the paper sheet attracting unit at a preselected position. When more than one sheet is attracted by the paper sheet attracting unit, the piled sheet feeding preventing unit removes the paper sheet or sheets from the sheet attracted by the paper sheet attracting unit so that only one sheet is accurately fed.
