    Abstract: In a method for manufacturing a polarizing film comprising a polarizer, a first transparent protective film provided on one surface of the polarizer with an adhesive layer interposed therebetween, and a second transparent protective film provided on another surface of the polarizer with an adhesive layer interposed therebetween, the adhesive layers are obtained by first using active energy rays to carry out irradiation by way of the first transparent protective film and then using the active energy rays to carry out irradiation by way of the second transparent protective film to cure the active energy ray-curable adhesive composition.

    Abstract: This invention provides a unit for an image display device in which an optical film laminate and a panel for an image display device are laminated with an adhesive layer therebetween. The optical film laminate contains a polarizer and a polarizer protection functional layer laminated to only one surface of the polarizer. The adhesive layer is laminated to the surface of the polarizer that is opposite to the surface that contacts the polarizer protection functional layer. The panel for an image display device is laminated to the surface of the adhesive layer that is opposite to the surface that contacts the polarizer. A glass transition temperature of the adhesive layer is in a range of from 50° C. to 90° C.

    Abstract: An adhesive composition curable with an active energy ray includes radical polymerizable compounds (A), (B) and (C) as curable components. The composition includes the radical polymerizable compound (A) having an SP value of 29.0 to 32.0 (kJ/m3)1/2 both inclusive in a proportion of 20 to 60% by weight, the radical polymerizable compound (B) having an SP value of 18.0 (kJ/m3)1/2 or more, and less than 21.0 (kJ/m3)1/2 in a proportion of 10 to 30% by weight, and the radical polymerizable compound (C) having an SP value of 21.0 to 23.0 (kJ/m3)1/2 both inclusive in a proportion of 20 to 60% by weight, when the total amount of the adhesive composition is regarded as 100% by weight, and a homopolymer made from each of the radical polymerizable compounds (A), (B) and (C) has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 60° C. or higher.
