  • Patent number: 7890728
Abstract: A memory interface device has a write detection section that detects the write of a predetermined unit amount of data by a memory write unit into a memory. A signal generation section generates a signal to notify the memory write unit that readout of data from the memory by a memory readout unit has been completed. A data storage amount measurement device measures an amount of data stored in the memory during the memory write procedures. A memory readout control section generates an interrupt signal with respect to the memory readout unit when the stored data amount in the memory reaches a predetermined readout start storage amount. A timer counts a period in which writing of the predetermined unit amount of the data into the memory by the memory write unit is discontinued and outputs a timeout signal to the memory readout control section when a value of the period count reaches a predetermined timer period.

  • Patent number: 7660603
Abstract: A card type electronic device system has an adapter including a self-identification function compliant with a preselected recognition procedure for identifying the adapter. A card type electronic device is provided for selective connection to one of a first card slot of a host device without the adapter and to a second card slot of the host device via the adapter that has a maximum supply current standard value greater than that of the first card slot. The card type electronic device includes a recognition function via which the adapter is recognized in accordance with the preselected recognition procedure.

  • Publication number: 20070249233
Abstract: There is realized a card type electronic device system in which when a combination of a CF card and an exclusive-use adapter is attached to a PC card slot, a function or a performance equivalent to that of a PC card is realized. On the other hand, when an only CF card is attached to the CF card slot, it is possible to realize a function or a performance matched with a maximum supply current standard value of the CF card slot. During use, and after start of an operation, the CF card recognizes an exclusive-use adapter in accordance with a predetermined recognition procedure (steps S101, S102), and selects predetermined operation conditions which meet the maximum supply current standard value of the CF card slot, in a case where any exclusive-use adapter is not recognized (step S104). On the other hand, in a case where the exclusive-use adapter is recognized, the CF card selects the predetermined operation conditions which meet the maximum supply current standard value of the PC card slot (step S103).

  • Publication number: 20070160037
Abstract: It is possible to cope with a memory write procedure in which every time data is written into a memory every predetermined amount unit, it is confirmed that readout of the data from the memory has been completed, and then the next write of the data into the memory is performed, and loads on a CPU on a memory readout side can be reduced. In a case where the write of the predetermined amount unit of the data from a PC 2 into an FIFO memory 100 is detected, with respect to the PC 2, a signal is generated which notifies that the readout of the data from the FIFO memory 100 has been completed, and in a case where a stored data amount in the FIFO memory 100 reaches a readout start storage amount, an interrupt signal is generated with respect to a CPU 10 of a PC card 1.

  • Patent number: 5153756
Abstract: A liquid crystal display apparatus detects and regulates its display contrast. A liquid crystal display unit is provided therein with a pair of liquid crystal cells for use in detection of the display contrast. Incident light is detected through the cells, and the detected results are fed back to control a drive voltage applied to the liquid crystal display unit so as to automatically regulate the display contrast at optimum level.

  • Patent number: 5054112
Abstract: An electronic data collection system for managing and controlling information in a restaurant comprises a portable data entry device and an information processing apparatus. The portable data entry device receives data entered by an operator and relays the data to the information processing apparatus by wireless bi-directional communication. The wireless bi-directional communication comprises either a radio communication mode or an electromagnetic induction communication mode. The communication between the portable data entry device and the information processing apparatus is normally effected by the radio communication mode. In the event communication errors occur under the influence of various noises during the communication, the electronic data collection system changes from the radio communication mode to the electromagnetic induction communication mode.
