  • Patent number: 5869300
Abstract: A method for producing L-glutamic acid, comprising inoculating a microorganism having an ability to produce L-glutamic acid, in a liquid medium containing a carbon source and a nitrogen source, conducting continuous L-glutamic acid fermentation in which both a carbon source and a nutrient having an effect of promoting bacterial growth are fed so as to make the microorganism grow, and then collecting L-glutamic acid produced and accumulated in a culture broth.

  • Patent number: 5326179
Abstract: The card producing apparatus which records magnetic data or printed data on many cards, which washes the cards and records predetermined data on predetermined areas of the cards so that there will not develop erroneous recording, and which rejects cards in case erroneous recording developed, all automatically. The card producing apparatus characterized by the structure comprising a feeder that takes out a predetermined number of accommdated cards every time, magnetic data recording means for recording magnetic data on cards, a cleaner for washing the surfaces of cards, a printer for printing data on the surfaces of cards, a stacker for accommodating cards on which data are recorded, card carrier devices in the apparatus, and a controller for controlling them.

  • Patent number: 4616895
Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) socket comprising: a box-shaped housing of dielectric material open at the upper side thereof and having a recess for receiving a leadless chip carrier type of IC device; a plurality of contacts for contacting the electrodes of the IC device within the recess, each of the contacts comprising a springy conductive member and being disposed in the bottom of the housing so as to contact the electrodes formed in the bottom surface of the IC device; and two pairs of pressing members arranged at opposite corners for holding the IC device within the recess, each member comprising a springy member and a projection formed at the top end of the springy member for pressing the IC device. The projections on the pressing members are semicircular-shaped to permit easy insertion and removal, and to maintain downward pressure.
