  • Patent number: 7527365
Abstract: There is provided an initial filling method for a functional liquid droplet ejection head in which a filling liquid consisting essentially of a functional liquid or a solvent thereof is initially filled in a passage of a functional liquid drop-let-ejection-head for ejecting a functional liquid droplet on a workpiece. The method includes: a sealing step of sealing a functional liquid introducing port of the functional liquid droplet ejection head communicating with the passage of the head; an immersing step of immersing a head main body of the functional liquid droplet ejection head in the filling liquid stored in a sealed vessel; a pressure-reducing step of reducing pressure inside the sealed vessel to a predetermined degree of vacuum by exhausting the atmosphere inside the sealed vessel; and a pressure-restoring step of restoring the pressure inside the sealed vessel after the pressure-reducing step.

  • Patent number: 7407254
Abstract: An inspection apparatus includes an inspection body that has a non-conductive substrate, a droplet receiving portion for receiving a droplet that is provided on the substrate, and a plurality of electrodes that are exposed on an inner surface portion of the droplet receiving portion. The droplet receiving portion has a size that corresponds to a droplet size in a state when a discharged droplet impacts normally. The inspection apparatus also includes a detector that is connected to the electrodes of the inspection body and detects a conductivity in the droplet receiving portion. The inspection apparatus makes it possible to inspect easily and in a short time period the discharge performance of a droplet discharge head of a droplet discharge apparatus. A droplet discharge inspection method is also provided.

  • Patent number: 7219976
Abstract: A wiping unit is provided that wipes a droplet discharge head included in a droplet discharge unit and reduces the likelihood or prevents a cleaner to be sprayed to a wiping sheet from getting dispersed and adhering to peripheral units. A wiping unit included in a droplet discharge unit is provided with a charged electrode, an absorption electrode, and a static elimination brush. A cleaner sprayed by a cleaner spray head is electrically charged by the charged electrode. The charged cleaner is absorbed toward the absorption electrode, and adheres to a wiping sheet that is placed just before the absorption electrode. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the likelihood or prevent the cleaner from getting dispersed and adhering to peripheral units.

  • Publication number: 20060236559
Abstract: A heating furnace includes a housing chamber adapted to house a heating object, a heater for heating the heating object housed in the housing chamber, a vacuum pump for reducing a pressure inside the housing chamber, a pressure detector for detecting the pressure inside the housing chamber; a leakage detector for detecting any leak current that is caused by reducing the pressure inside the housing chamber while power is supplied to the heater; and a controller for switching the power to the heater on or off on the basis of detection results from the pressure detector and the leakage detector.

  • Patent number: 6863953
Abstract: The present invention provides a surface material which can be replaced to the conventional surface material made of soft polyvinylchloride resin. This surface material is useful for the various uses such as the material for car interior, surface material furniture or the material for porches. The present invention is the urethane resin surface material comprising, a mixed resin sheet composed of 50-95 wt. % thermoplastic polyurethane and 50-5 wt. % of acrylic soft resin and the Shore A hardness of said urethane resin surface material is 60-80. On one side surface of the mixed resin sheet, a layer of knitted, woven, nonwoven fabric or soft foam sheet can be provided. As the thermoplastic polyurethane resin, the thermoplastic polyurethane resin of Shore A hardness 65-90 is desirable, and as the acrylic soft resin, the acrylic soft resin of Shore A hardness 50-80 is desirable.
