  • Patent number: 8126181
Abstract: In addition to output the mid-high range audio sound from the speakers of the main unit, the present invention can output the low range audio sound according to the audio signal transmitted from the main unit through the DC power supply transmission cable from the sub-woofer unit of the AC adapter. Accordingly, the present invention can provide a richly expressive acoustic space without enlarging the size of the main unit.

  • Patent number: 7971858
Abstract: A carburetor includes a main body defining a bore, a main passage and a venturi defined within the bore, and a fuel nozzle carried by the main body and including a fuel nozzle outlet communicating with the venturi. The carburetor may also include a valve member translatable across an axis of the bore, such that in a closed state, the valve member closes the main passage but maintains the venturi at least partially open. The carburetor may also include a needle valve disposed at an end of the fuel nozzle substantially opposite of the fuel nozzle outlet to variably control flow of fuel into a fuel nozzle inlet, and a needle valve transmission may be coupled between a throttle shaft and the needle valve to convert rotation of the throttle shaft to translation of the needle valve.

  • Patent number: 7429033
Abstract: A scavenging carburetor having an improved relationship between scavenging air flow and fuel-and-air flow to an engine over its range of operating conditions. The carburetor has a butterfly throttle valve and a plug-type scavenging valve. Levers are attached to support shafts of the valves and are connected to each other by a connecting rod so as to synchronize movement of the valves. Because of the different opening angle versus open area properties of the two valves, the supply of the scavenging air is minimized over a low speed range of the engine so as to achieve a stable low speed operation and a stable acceleration from idle conditions and a relatively large amount of scavenging air is supplied over a high speed range of the engine for the given amount of fuel-and-air mixture that is supplied. Therefore, the fuel-and-air mixture supply and scavenging air supply is better matched to the requirements of a particular engine than was possible with conventional combinations of valves.

  • Patent number: 7152852
Abstract: A float bowl type carburetor has a fuel and air mixing passage extending therethrough, a float bowl assembly, a priming pump communicated with the float bowl assembly and a fuel supply pipe that is communicates fuel in the float bowl assembly with the fuel and air mixing passage. The priming pump is operable to deliver pressurized fluid into the float bowl assembly in the area of the fuel supply pipe. Preferably, the priming pump discharges fluid in line with the fuel supply pipe so that at least some of the fluid discharged from the priming pump flows directly into the fuel supply pipe to facilitate delivering a rich fuel and air mixture to the engine to facilitate starting the engine.

  • Patent number: 7070173
Abstract: An apparatus for adjusting the air-fuel ratio of a fuel mixture to be supplied to an engine. The apparatus has a pair of needle valve bodies and a pair of receptacles formed in a main body of a carburetor for receiving the needle valve bodies. Each needle valve body has a needle and a head. The needles are axially movable relative to a respective needle orifice. The needles may be axially advanced and retracted by rotating the needle valve bodies within the receptacles to respectively decrease and increase the flow of the fuel mixture around the needles and through the orifices. To prevent tampering with the needle valve body setting, the head of the needle valve body has an unconventional shape requiring a specialized tool to rotatably adjust the needle valve body. To further prevent tampering, the head is recessed with the main body of the carburetor.

  • Patent number: 5003786
Abstract: A refrigerating apparatus is conventionally provided with an electric which is fed with an electric current to effect heating and defrosting operations, a defrosting control device including a defrosting timer and an evaporator outlet refrigerant temperature detector for controlling the electric current fed to the electric heater, and an overheating preventing temperature detector for preventing the occurrence of abnormal overheating by the electric heater. The refrigerating apparatus of the present invention can regularly effect defrosting even if any anomaly should arise in the evaporator outlet refrigerant temperature detector. Specifically, the overheating preventing temperature detector is connected to the defrosting control device, and a detection temperature signal from either the evaporator outlet refrigerant temperature detector of the overheating preventing temperature detector is used to commence and terminate defrosting.
