    Abstract: An image developing apparatus capable of developing high quality images without a fog and a toner density fluctuation over an extended period of time while reducing a driving torque in an image developing operation is disclosed. The image developing apparatus may includes a toner conveyer device having its surface coated with a ceramic for conveying non-magnetic single component toner to the image bearer in order to develop the latent image, and a lamination controller device for controlling a thickness of non-magnetic single component toner lamina to be formed on the toner conveyer device.     Abstract: A corona discharging apparatus used in an electrophotographic process is provided with a conductive housing with an opening at one side, an electrode including a conductive linear member extending in one direction at the center of the opening, and a power source for applying a voltage between the housing and the electrode. The linear member consists of a core and a platinum layer covering the surface of the core. The core is formed of tungsten or molybdenum wire, and the core is coated with the platinum layer by cladding.

The contact piled cloth is provided with a multitude of raised furs formed of artificial fibers with conductive particles dispersed therein.

    Abstract: A developing apparatus for developing an electrostatic image on an electrostatic image bearing member. A developing brush roller having fur on its peripheral surface transports the toner from the container and applies it to the electrostatic latent image. The developing brush roller is constructed of a core formed with elastic material and a fur formed on the peripheral surface of the core which contacts the surface of the electrostatic image bearing member.

    Abstract: A developing apparatus is used with an image forming system provided with a photosensitive layer on which a static latent image is impressed and which is formed of first and second portions having different surface potentials. The developing apparatus comprising a developing roller which is rotatably arranged and fitted with a large number of hairs for feeding a developing agent such as a toner to the surface of the photosensitive layer in contact therewith. The developing agent is attracted to the first portion of the surface of the photosensitive layer with a strong attractive force and to the second portion of the surface with a weak attractive force. The developing apparatus further comprises electrode tube for removing that portion of the developing agent which is attracted to the second portion with the weak attractive force.

    Abstract: A transfer device with a transfer belt, a plurality of rollers rotatably mounted and supporting the transfer belt and a charger. The transfer belt includes an insulating layer formed on the side facing a photosensitive drum and an electroconductive layer formed on the side opposite to that on which the photosensitive drum is provided. The charger is provided in contact with the surface of the insulating layer to form a surface potential on the surface of the insulating layer. At least one of the rollers is made of an electroconductive material contacts the surface of the electroconductive layer and is grounded.

The transfer roller has elasticity to press elastically the copying paper to the surface of the drum thereby contacting with wider area, and includes a core provided with an outer circumferential surface, an electrically conductive layer provided on the outer circumferential surface of the core, and a great number of electrically conductive furs projected from the outer circumferential surface of the electrically conductive layer.
