Abstract: A weather strip for an automobile includes an insert body which is made of resin and which includes a plurality of tooth portions and gaps formed between the tooth portions such that the insert body is roughly comb shaped. A filler at least partially fills the gaps between the tooth portions and which is made of a thermoplastic elastomer or a thermoplastic resin having a Shore A hardness of 20 to 90 (preferably 40 to 70). A weather strip material covers the insert body and the filler such that the insert body, with the filler in the gaps thereof, is embedded in the weather strip material, and the weather strip material does not constitute the filler. An elongation after fracture of the thermoplastic elastomer or thermoplastic resin is at least 300%.

Abstract: There is provided a weather strip embedding an insert 1 which comprises a plural number of arch-like plates 11 formed in a roughly reversed-U shape in section and positioned in parallel forming a certain space between each plate, and band-like connecting portions 12 for connecting each end edge of the arch-like plates 11, wherein the arch-like plates 11 are disconnected by cutting and removing the band-like connecting portions 12.

Abstract: A process for the preparation of a deuterated compound, which requires neither many steps nor an expensive reagent, and is considerably economical and can be widely used for general-purposes because raw materials which can be used therein are not particularly limited. Specifically, a deuterated compound is obtained by a process comprising treating an organic compound (an aliphatic or alicyclic compound, an aromatic hydrocarbon or a polymer compound such as rubbers and proteins) in heavy water under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions not less than the subcritical temperature and the subcritical pressure.
