  • Patent number: 7325061
Abstract: A server system includes a digital camera lent out to a tourist and a server. Photographed image data photographed by the tourist with the digital camera is fetched by a main body of the server when a memory card is attached to a card reader of the server. The main body creates an Internet homepage based on the fetched photographed image data, and receives a print order of the photographed image from a homepage viewer through the Internet.

  • Patent number: 7050095
Abstract: A digital camera includes a memory card. The memory card is previously recorded with template image data that has been subjected to conversion of Y-data effective range and JPEG compressing. A CPU expands this template image data by a JPEG method, and then subjects only expanded data greater than a predetermined value to effective-range conversion that is reverse to the above. The CPU composites the template image data thus obtained with photographed image data, thereby creating composite image data.

  • Patent number: 6876433
Abstract: An image recording apparatus includes a record-mode selector switch. When a motion-image record mode is selected by the record-mode selector switch and the shutter button is pressed, camera signals of a plurality of screens are outputted from an image sensor. A signal processing circuit performs signal processing on camera signals of the plurality of screens to produce a compressed YUV signal. The produced compressed YUV signal is supplied via buffer memory to a disk control circuit. The disk control circuit drives an optical pickup and magnetic head and records the compressed YUV signal to a magneto-optical disk in the order of from a maximum vacant area.

  • Patent number: 6771313
Abstract: A digital camera includes a flash memory. When partial image data constituting one image is written on a memory area in the flash memory, head address data of the memory area is written to the memory area written with the foregoing partial image data to the partial image data. That is, link information about the memory areas written with partial image data for a same image is written to each memory area. Therefore, if a plurality of memory areas written by partial image data are distant from one another, the image data can be reproduced or erased by tracing the head address data.

  • Patent number: 6721002
Abstract: A digital camera including a memory card for storing a composite image data. When an operator selects template image data and photographed image data recorded in a memory card, a CPU composites these image data with each other by using a DRAM. The CPU then compares a data amount of composite image data with a vacant capacity of the memory card. If the data amount is less than the vacant capacity, the composite image data is recorded into the memory card. Meanwhile, when the data amount is greater than the vacant capacity, the CPU displays a predetermined alarm message on an LCD. Here, if the operator attaches another memory card, the CPU again compares the data amount of the composite image data with a vacant capacity of a memory card newly attached. If the vacant capacity is sufficient, the composite image data is recorded to the same memory card.

  • Patent number: 6603509
Abstract: A digital camera includes a CPU. When a memory card recorded with an additional program is mounted, the CPU detects a size of the additional program, a maximum vacant area formed in a flash memory and a size thereof. The CPU then compares the size of the additional program with the size of the maximum vacant area. If the maximum area is sufficiently large, it is written by the additional program. On the other hand, if the size of the maximum vacant area is not greater than the size of the additional program, the photographed image data recorded following the maximum vacant area is moved, for each cluster, to another vacant area, thereby extending the maximum vacant area.

  • Patent number: 6452630
Abstract: In an image number arranging method, a CPU reads all image file names out of a memory card recorded with image files, and enters these file names to an entry table so that they are arranged in a power ascending order. The CPU then calculates respective distances for the file numbers, and detects two image file names assuming maximum in the distance. The file names arranged at and before one of the two image file names and the file names arranged at and after the other of the two image file names are replaced with each other, thereby being entered to the entry table.

  • Patent number: 6157742
Abstract: In a data expanding method, compressed data including a plurality of blocks is first subjected to entropy decoding, block by block, in a horizontal direction. At a last block on each line, the decoded data is subjected to inversive quantization. By decoding the last block on a line, an address is detected that is recorded with head data of a head block on a next line. By the inversive quantization of the last block of the line, a DC value is detected that is required for inversively quantize the head block of the next line. The block beginning from the detected address is subjected to entropy decoding and inversive quantization so that the inversively quantized data is subjected to IDCT conversion using the detected DC value. Also, during expansion, an adjacent block address and a DC value of the current block are detected.

  • Patent number: 5990949
Abstract: A digital still camera includes a shutter release button. A first gamma correction circuit, when a shutter release button is depressed, references a first gamma table to correct a camera signal by a gamma characteristic of a raster scan display, creating a first image signal. The first image signal is subjected to interpolation/thinning-out and image processing by a first signal processing circuit. A thinned-out image signal is corrected in a second gamma correction circuit by a gamma characteristic for converting a raster-scan display gamma characteristic into a dot-matrix display gamma characteristic, thereby creating a second image signal. The second image signal is displayed on an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). The first image signal is also subjected by a second signal processing circuit to interpolation, YUV conversion and JPEC compression so that a compressed image signal is stored in a memory flash. The compressed image signal is read out of the flash memory as required, to be outputted to a CRT.
