  • Patent number: 7357324
Abstract: Misunderstanding is not caused among users such that the user misconstrues a special digit character of barcode data which is not directly input by the user as an input character or misconstrues the input character as the special digit character. In the invention, the input character string is displayed in a first display area and information on the special digit character is displayed in a second display area. At this point, it is preferable to notify the user that a position of a cursor in the first display area is located at the position of the special digit character by displaying the information displayed in the second display area in a mode which is different from the display mode of other cursor positions.

  • Patent number: 7264164
Abstract: User can flexibly increase in setting a bar code margin and easily confirm a bar code image relative position. Operability is improved in inputting a character string regarding the bar code. For the margin, a bar code guide giving a target size of a bar code image area is displayed in an input print preview. When the character string regarding the bar code has been already input and a bar code type is changed, the character string already input is checked against character input conditions defined by the post-change type of bar code. In inputting the characters regarding the bar code, the input characters are checked against the character input conditions, such as the character type and the defined number of characters defined by the set bar code type. Therefore, the input character is ignored or displayed in a mode in which the input character is different from other characters.

  • Patent number: 7195409
Abstract: An apparatus, method and program produce small print including character string information in a plurality of languages together with a logo. A language converting function converts an input character string into another language. A multi-language printing function converts the input character string into a specified number and types of languages. A layout function allows specifying one piece of information of the logo, specifying one record, specifying one type of character string information and printing the specified layout as the small print inclusive of the logo and character string.

  • Patent number: 6979139
Abstract: A printing apparatus which enables a user to verify a tape information at any selected time, including immediately before printing, thereby optimizing printing processes, and also prevents performing printing contrary to the intentions of the user, caused by, for example, cartridge mounting mistakes. Further, a technology for controlling the printing apparatus is also provided. A printing apparatus 1 for printing a printing data on a tape is provided with a tape identification sensor 142 for detecting the width of a tape mounted in the printing apparatus 1, an operating portion 11 for setting a tape width setting value that is reflected in the printing data, and a display 306 that outputs the tape width information in a state that is recognizable to a user before printing commences, and after the tape width information is output, the operating portion 11 accepts a user's operation for designating execution of printing that reflects the tape width setting value or cancellation of the printing designation.

  • Publication number: 20050221260
Abstract: For enabling many peoples to make an input operation, for producing and recognizing the braille characters and/or normal characters, easily, thereby contributing of spreading the braille labels, widely, on which the braille characters are described, not only forming convex portions on a braille label, corresponding to the contents of braille characters, which are taken into, but also printing out the print character lines thereon, which are taken into. Herein, a user can made selection of a layout for the braille character line and the print character lines, arbitrarily. If there is coincidence between the contents of braille characters and the print character lines, a person other than the visually handicapped person can also recognize the contents of braille characters. Further, an input operation can easily be made by converting the print character lines that are inputted into the contents of braille characters, corresponding thereto, automatically, to be inputted in the condition thereof.

  • Publication number: 20050058485
Abstract: An apparatus, method and program for producing being able to produce a small print having print contents including character string information of a plurality of types of languages or the logo such as the public mark added to the print contents are provided. The invention has a language converting function in which an input character string is converted into another language and the character string of a printing subject includes the converted character string but does not include the input character string. The invention also has a multi-language printing function in which the input character string is converted into the character string of another language in accordance with specified contents of the number of languages and the type of language and the character string or input character string converted into the character string of another language in accordance with the specified contents of the number of languages and the type of language is included in the character string of the printing subject.

  • Publication number: 20050057761
Abstract: In an outputting apparatus, when a set tape width whose setting has been made in advance and a mounted tape width as reported by a tape printing apparatus are different from each other, a basic image data prepared (stored) to suit the set tape width is deformed to suit the mounted tape width, thereby preparing a deformed image data. When the tape width is different, the deformed image data is outputted as the print image data to the tape printing apparatus through an interface. The print image based on the print image data is printed on a tape. In a separate type of printing system, even when the set tape width as set in the outputting apparatus which outputs the data and the mounted tape width as mounted on the tape printing apparatus are different from each other, printing can be forcibly executed without giving rise to particular problems.
