  • Patent number: 6895038
Abstract: A low-cost communication system utilizing a code division multiple access, which controls scale-up of an apparatus due to the provision of an interference suppressing function in a base transceiver station, prevents the reduction of channel utilization efficiency, and enables a high-quality communication. Conventionally, a signal obtained through an interference cancellation stage process has been processed at subsequent cascade-connected stages. The interference cancellation stage process has been carried out by cascade-connecting several circuits performing the same process in a multi-stage interference-canceling device. However, in the present invention, by performing a demodulation process for generating replica signals, feeding back the replica signals to a correlation circuit for another demodulation process, and repeating the same signal process, the interference cancellation stage process is carried out. Such a configuration enables reduction of hardware.

  • Publication number: 20040165650
Abstract: A receiver informs a delay profile and CIR measured in an FDE or a Rake receiver, together with a bit error rate of a received signal that is required in a receiver, as quality information to a transmitter. In the transmitter, based on the delay profile and CIR contained in the notified quality information, a number of code division multiplex and a frame format are decided in a decision circuit such that a bit error rate of a received signal, which is necessary on the receiver side, can be obtained. In addition, a transmission selection switch selects one of a unique word insertion unit and a cyclic prefix insertion unit that create a frame format for FDE reception and a pilot insertion unit and a complex scrambling unit that create a frame format for Rake reception, and data is then transmitted.

  • Patent number: 6763059
Abstract: This invention provides a spread spectrum signal demodulator in which a noise component included in respective demodulation symbols is reduced and an effect of interference removal is further improved. Symbol decorrelating means detect correlations between spread codes allocated to spread spectrum signals to be removed and a receiving signal. A symbol deciding means 121 synthesizes one or the plurality of one symbol correlation values b1 to bk in common phase, namely, diversity-synthesizes them so as to decide a symbol. As the symbol decision, hard decision or soft decision can be used. Correlation modification means input the one symbol correlation values b1 to bk output from the symbol decorrelating means and the symbol decided result output from the symbol deciding means 121 thereinto, and modify the symbol correlation values b1 to bk. The modified symbol correlation values d1 to dk are transmitted into interference replicating means so as to be spectrum-spread by corresponding spread codes.

  • Patent number: 6572786
Abstract: A phosphor capable of preventing a deterioration in luminous characteristics thereof, particularly, high-temperature operation characteristics thereof due to a SiO2-containing pigment added thereto. The phosphor has a pigment contained therein, wherein the pigment has SiO2 added thereto and is melted, to thereby be coated with sodium glass. This permits gas generated during operation of the phosphor to be adsorbed on the phosphor as compared with a conventional phosphor to which the pigment subjected to the above-described treatment is not added, resulting in luminance retention of the phosphor after operation thereof being increased. In particular, it permits characteristics of the non-driven phosphor after the high-temperature operation test to be enhanced.
