  • Patent number: 9995779
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sensing device and a sensing method for continuously or intermittently quantifying a concentration of analyte. A measurement signal correlated with a concentration of analyte is sequentially acquired by use of a sensor (12). A filter processing is performed on a time sequence of the measurement signal acquired by the sensor (12) in a frequency domain via one type of filter among a plurality of types of filters (48, 49, 84). One type of filter used in the filter processing is switched depending on the amount of temporal change of the measurement signal.

  • Patent number: 9188537
Abstract: This invention relates to a sensing method and a sensing device for quantifying the concentration of an analyte by using the property that interaction between an analyte and a labeled compound changes fluorescence intensity. A fluorescence sensor is used to acquire fluorescence intensity at predetermined quantification time points. Then, the concentration of an analyte is quantified in accordance with a non-steady concentration quantification law including the relationship between the acquired fluorescence intensity and the time derivative quantity thereof.

  • Patent number: 4096700
Abstract: An oil boom is disclosed which comprises two rows of upper and lower stream side; a flexible base sheet connected across base portions of the two rows of floats and hanging down therefrom into the water in a gently curved shape. A plurality of inlet openings are arranged near the upper stream side float and extending in its lengthwise direction; an inflow guide plate made integral with the flexible base sheet and arranged below the inlet openings. A plurality of outlet openings are arranged in a rear portion of the flexible base sheet and extending in its lengthwise direction, the total opening area of the outlet openings per unit length of the flexible base sheet being larger than that of the inlet openings. Thus the oil boom may be utilized not only to dam and collect and oil slick floating on water, but also as an oil collecting region to separate the oil slick from the water.
