    Abstract: The switching power supply is provided with a voltage converter including a switching element for inputting a voltage from an input terminal, and has a spread spectrum function of varying a switching frequency in the switching element within a predetermined variation range. The switching power supply has a frequency setting unit that sets the variation range of the switching frequency and raises a lower limit value of the set variation range when a value of the voltage input from the input terminal is equal to or more than a predetermined threshold, and a signal generator that generates a control signal for driving the switching element by varying the switching frequency within the variation range set by the frequency setting unit.

Strain waveform data obtained with the strain gauge 30 is analyzed to calculate the cumulative degree of fatigue damage due to a high-frequency repetitive load applied to the blasting vessel 10 in each explosion. A residual life of the blasting vessel 10 is estimated on the basis of a cumulative value of the cumulative degrees of fatigue damage.

A monochrome image data of the ridge pattern of the entrant fingerprint is stored as fingerprint image data. A feature extraction device has a calculator which treats the ridge pattern image with one-dimensional group-delay spectrum transform in X- and Y-directions. The feature extraction device has the characteristic of isolating and emphasizing peaks of the individual frequency spectra in the form of differential with respect to a phase component frequency in Fourier transform analysis, and determining group-delay spectra in X- and Y-direction respectively as fingerprint feature portions.
