  • Patent number: 6382948
Abstract: A temperature control device for a proximal portion of a heating cylinder of an injection molding machine capable of performing check and control of a flow rate of a heat medium easily, improving maintainability and also reducing a manufacturing cost. At least one pair of through holes for flowing the heat medium for temperature control are formed in a jacket to be attached to a proximal portion of a heating cylinder of an injection molding machine. In a passage by pipes connecting the through holes and forming the passage with the through holes, a flow-rate control mechanism and a flow-rate detection mechanism for the heat medium flowing in the passage are arranged. The heat medium is supplied to the passage to control temperature of the proximal portion of the heating cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4863337
Abstract: A control system for a working machine which has a boom equipped with a working implement at its forward end and pivoted to a vehicle body movably about a vertical axis, and control valve for controlling the movement of the boom. The system comprises a variable resistor for setting a target position where the boom is to be stopped to produce a setting signal, a sensor for detecting the moved position of the boom to produce a detection signal, differential device for determining the difference between the setting signal and the detection signal to produce a difference signal, a detector for detecting the direction of movement of the boom from the magnitude of the difference signal, a pulse-width modulator for subjecting the difference signal to pulse-width modulation to produce a pulse signal, and a driver for driving the control valve by the pulse signal in the detected direction in proportion to the difference signal.

  • Patent number: 4814495
Abstract: In the Kolbe-Schmitt process for the preparation of hydroxybenzoic acid by the reaction of potassium phenolate with carbon dioxide gas followed by precipitation of the hydroxybenzoic acid in the mixture acidified with hydrochloric acid, the potassium value in the acidified mother liquor is conventionally recovered by electrolysis after removing the organic impurities by chlorination with chlorine. The disadvantages in the use of chlorine can be dissolved by replacing the chlorine treatment with (a) dehydration of the acidified mother liquor followed by calcination of the dehydrated product, (b) salting-out by blowing hydrogen chloride gas into the acidified mother liquor, or (c) reverse osmosis treatment prior to the electrolysis to convert potassium chloride into potassium hydroxide, for example, by using an ion exchange membrane.

  • Patent number: 4240508
Abstract: A ground working implement comprises a frame, a rotary ground working unit supported by the frame and rotatable about a horizontal axis, a transmission for the working unit, a cover assembly covering the working unit and including a movable cover, and a holder detachably engageable with the frame and the cover to hold the cover while the cover is in contact with the ground at a position to the rear of and spaced from the peripheral portion of the working unit in contact with the ground. Thus the cover cooperates with the working unit to serve as a stand for holding the implement in its upright position. The cover is also holdable in a raised position by the holder to facilitate the maintenance of the working unit. The cover can also be shaped to have a front contact portion and a rear contact portion continuous therewith and positioned at a lower level than the front contact portion with an intermediate portion therebetween held out of contact with the ground by a space.
