Patent number: 5757471Abstract: A method and apparatus for producing index prints makes the trend of compensation for main prints coincide with the trend of compensation for the index prints. When a scanner determines an exposure compensation amount for each frame based on image data of each frame of a negative film, the information representing the exposure compensation amount for each frame is transmitted to the drive controllers via a controller. In a main print section, an exposure process is performed by the drive controller based on the information regrading the exposure compensation amount for each frame, thereby obtaining a main print. In an index print section, an exposure process is performed by the drive controller based on the same information regrading the exposure compensation amount for each frame, thereby obtaining an index print. Also, a density adjusting method easily and automatically adjust unevenness in density produced in an image printing stage.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 1997Date of Patent: May 26, 1998Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Toshio Itoh, Eiichi Kito, Kaoru Uchiyama, Toshiyuki Hiroishi

Patent number: 5680612Abstract: There is provided a document retrieval apparatus in which signatures can be easily extracted from document data, and false drop probability is reduced even for a long document so as to reduce a burden of eliminating the false drop. A processing unit converts the document data and the character string into character codes, respectively. The processing unit extracts signatures from each of the character codes, and calculates a record identifier of the document data to be stored based on a storing position of the document data in a record file. A data storing unit stores the document data to be registered in the record file, and stores the signature corresponding to the document data to be registered in a signature file. The signature is stored in a storing position in the signature file, the storing position being designated by the record identifier of corresponding document data stored in the record file.Type: GrantFiled: February 24, 1995Date of Patent: October 21, 1997Assignee: Ricoh Company, Ltd.Inventors: Kazushige Asada, Hideaki Nakayama, Toshio Itoh, Kensaku Yamamoto, Hiroshi Takegawa, Katsumi Kanasaki, Atsushi Iizawa, Kazutaka Furuse, Susumu Kanemune

Patent number: 4823755Abstract: In a two stroke fuel injection type internal combustion engine provided with intake and exhaust valves, a basic amount of fuel to be injected is calculated in accordance with an engine load and engine speed. Values of a factor corresponding to a ratio of air captured by an engine cylinder for combustion to the total amount of air introduced into the engine are stored in a memory in accordance with combinations of an engine load and engine speed. A value of a captured air factor corresponding to a detected combination of an engine load and speed is calculated by a map interpolation. The basic amount is corrected by the captured air factor so that a desired air-fuel ratio is obtained. The captured air factor may be further corrected in accordance with a secondary engine condition, other than an engine load and speed, such as a cooling water temperature, intake air temperature, atmospheric air temperature, atmospheric air pressure, exhaust gas temperature, or intake pressure.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 1987Date of Patent: April 25, 1989Assignee: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Katsuhiko Hirose, Hiroshi Noguchi, Toyokazu Baika, Kingo Horii, Hideo Nagaosa, Toshio Tanahashi, Toshio Itoh

Patent number: 4732124Abstract: A two-cycle internal combustion engine comprises a cylinder head having an intake port and exhaust port opened to a combustion chamber, to which compressed fresh air is introduced via an intake valve. The intake and exhaust valves are operated in response to a crank angle. A pulsation pressure of exhaust gas in the exhaust port is substantially restrained during an idling or light load running condition. The exhaust valve is opened earlier than the intake valve when the speed of the downward movement of the piston is relatively high, such that a part of exhaust gas in the exhaust port flows back to the combustion chamber in that condition. An exhaust gas swirl rotating around a cylinder axis is formed when the exhaust gas flows back and the fresh air is slowly introduced onto the exhaust gas swirl in that condition.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 1987Date of Patent: March 22, 1988Assignee: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Norihiko Nakamura, Toshio Tanahashi, Michiaki Ujihashi, Hiroshi Noguchi, Toshio Itoh, Katsuhiko Hirose, Kingo Horii, Toyokazu Baika

Patent number: 4584391Abstract: A novel and efficient method is proposed for the preparation of isosorbide-5-nitrate which is a promising medicinal compound for several diseases due to disorder in heart. The method comprises direct nitration of isosorbide with a concentrated nitric acid in a specific reaction medium containing an aromatic hydrocarbon solvent, e.g. benzene, in addition to conventional acetic acid and acetic anhydride. After neutralization of the reaction mixture and removal of the dinitrate as a byproduct therefrom, the reaction mixture is admixed with an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide so that a sodium salt of isosorbide-5-nitrate is precipitated in the form of a hydrate, which is a novel compound not known in the prior art. This hydrate sodium salt is then decomposed with an acid to give the desired isosorbide-5-nitrate in a high yield.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 1984Date of Patent: April 22, 1986Assignee: Toshin Chemical Co. Patent number: 4567715Abstract: An improved packing device is disclosed which features an upwardly biased bag table for receiving a stack of plastic bags. A press member holds down the uppermost of the stack of bags at its mouth end. A pickup device is brought into engagement with the upper surface of the uppermost bag of the stack as the pressure of the uppermost bag against the press member is momentarily reduced, so that the pickup member is enabled to pull out the top surface of the bag from under the press member. The lower surface of the uppermost bag is then retained by the press member so that a blower supplying air to the end of the mouth of the bag to open it fully does not cause the bag to be blown away.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 1982Date of Patent: February 4, 1986Assignee: Kureha Kagaku Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yuji Sawa, Toshio Itoh
