  • Patent number: 5402321
Abstract: A method of producing a composite component and a composite device which are small in size, high in the mass-production aptitude, and stable in the electrical characteristics. The composite component includes an inductor (1), coupling unit (3), and at least one circuit component (2) different from the inductor (1). The inductor (1) includes a coil support (12) having a coil winding portion (123) at the middle body thereof, and has a coil (11) wound around the coil winding portion (123). The coupling unit (3) is arranged such that one end of metal pieces (31 and 32) is fixed to one end face of the two end faces of the coil support (12) and the other ends of the metal pieces face each other across a space. The circuit component (2) is a chip component having electrodes (22 and 23) at two opposite ends of a base body (21), and is disposed between the metal pieces (31 and 32). The electrodes ( 22 and 23) are mounted fixedly to the metal pieces (31 and 32).

  • Patent number: 5274346
Abstract: A case has parts storage openings through a top plane. Terminals protrude above the plane and extend downward through the case to a bottom plane, where they are bent to conform to the bottom plane. Interconnections of the terminals in the bottom plane provide the wiring pattern necessary for the creation of an LC filter. LC combination parts are made using a coil wound on a coil support with a capacitor secured to the top surface of the coil support. The coil part of the LC combination parts are inserted into the parts storage openings of the case, to secure the coils rigidly in place. The coils and capacitors are affixed to the terminals above the top plane. The resulting rigid support of the LC combination units provides stable and accurate filter characteristic in a compact package. The interconnections of the terminals in the bottom plane permits observation of the connections to permit manual inspection or the use of pattern recognition hardware and software for robotic sorting and assembly.

  • Patent number: 4924200
Abstract: In a split bobbin designed to be rotatably mountable on a core and attached to a bobbin holding base after specific winding of coils, the split bobbin has collars at least at its both ends and cutout sections at least at two places in the outer periphery of these collars. In these cutout sections are provided lead terminal holding holes of specific depth in which rod-like lead terminals can be inserted.
