  • Patent number: 6395773
Abstract: In order to provide antibacterial agents for drug-resistant bacteria and anti-Chlamydia agents, the furanonaphthoquinone derivative represented by the following formula (1): wherein each R may be the same or different, representing any one of the following (a) to (e): (wherein R′ is a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, hydroxyalkyl group, or alkoxyalkyl group), or two mutually adjacent Rs may be bonded via an oxygen atom to form a heterocyclic ring is used as the effective component.

  • Patent number: 4348164
Abstract: A continuous production process for making a slab of polyurethane foam comprises preparing a foamable polyurethane composition, continuously feeding the composition to a horizontally moving trough to form a foaming mass on the trough, continuously pressing the top surface of the foaming mass with a pressure means over a zone including a zone extending from the foaming completion point to a point just prior to the completion of curing so as to make flat the top surface of the foaming mass, and horizontally moving the pressure means in synchronism with and in the same direction as the trough. Preferably, the composition is fed to the trough at such a rate as to produce a slab about 40 mm to 250 mm thick. The process can produce at a low cost polyurethane foam slabs which have no cavities and no cracks and which therefore have a uniform density or porosity.

  • Patent number: 4266043
Abstract: A resilient hydrophobic foamed polymer obtained by reacting a mixture of an isocyanate terminated urethane prepolymer and a polyisocyanate (A) with aqueous material, said prepolymer being relatively hydrophilic and the reaction product of a molar excess of a polyisocyanate (B) with a polyetherpolyol having from 15 to 50% by weight of oxethylene content, said aqueous material having a water content between about 15 to 150% by weight based on said prepolymer, the amount of said polyisocyanate (A) ranging between about 5 to 15% by weight based on said prepolymer, said polyetherpolyol being selected from the group consisting of (a) the addition polymerization product of a starting material, ethylene oxide and another epoxide and (b) a mixture of at least two of the following:(1) The addition polymerization product of a starting material and ethylene oxide;(2) the addition polymerization product of a starting material and an epoxide other than ethylene oxide;(3) the addition polymerization material, ethylene oxide

  • Patent number: 3933697
Abstract: An antistatic polyurethane foam contains quaternary ammonium salt as an antistatic agent. The quaternary ammonium salt is added either to a raw material for polyurethane foam or to a prepared polyurethane foam by causing the foam to be impregnated with a solution containing the quaternary ammonium salt and drying it.
