    Abstract: The present invention is intended to enable a efficient water-sealing treatment for an on-vehicle electric cable 10, i.e., an electric cable to be mounted on a vehicle, the cable having a conductor and a sheath disposed on the outside of the conductor, regardless of a length of the electric cable. The present invention provides a method comprising the step of establishing a state where a water-sealing agent 18 with fluidity covers a gap between the conductor and the sheath in an end of the on-vehicle electric cable 10, for example, through an operation of dropping the water-sealing agent 18 onto the end of the on-vehicle electric cable 10, and the step of pressurizing an ambient air around the water-sealing agent 18 to cause the water-sealing agent 18 to penetrate into the inside of the sheath of the on-vehicle electric cable 10.

    Abstract: When a wire “a” is pressed into a pressure connection terminal of a connector C, an end portion of the wire “a” is clamped by a wire curvature correcting chuck 47, and the wire curvature correcting chuck 47 is slid in a pulling direction along the surface of a sheathing of the wire “a” in a state in which the feeding of the wire “a” is stopped, thereby correcting a curvature in the wire “a” so as to allow a press-in blade S to reliably grip the wire “a” and depress the same. In addition, in conjunction with the retraction of the wire curvature correcting chuck 47, its open/closed state is monitored by an opening/closing sensor to detect the amount of the projecting allowance of the wire “a” with respect to pressure connection, and a required measure can be adopted if the projecting allowance is insufficient.

    Abstract: There is provided a method and apparatus of detecting minute impurities in the entire body of a fluid. Part of the passage through which the fluid flows is constituted by a transparent member. Light is emitted in a direction substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of this part of the fluid passage so as to envelop the same. Light scattered by impurities in the fluid is observed from a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of the passage to detect any minute impurities in the fluid. The method and apparatus is well-suited for use in systems which extrude molten resin in the formation of plastic products used in an electrical environment in order to detect impurities in the resin which could adversely affect the performance of the products.
