  • Patent number: 11913813
Abstract: A power generation element includes a magnetic member that produces a large Barkhausen effect and magnetism collection members including an insertion part having the magnetic member inserted therethrough. The magnetism collection member includes a first component on an opposite side of a boundary plane to a magnetic field generation unit and a second component on the same side of the boundary plane as the magnetic field generation unit, the boundary plane passing through a center of an imaginary circle inscribed in the insertion part and having a diameter equal to a length of the insertion part in a third direction perpendicular to first and second directions, the first direction is a direction of the insertion of the magnetic member, and the second direction is a direction in which the magnetic field generation unit is disposed. A volume of the second component is larger than a volume of the first component.

  • Patent number: 6690759
Abstract: Disclosed herein are zirconium-base alloys excellent in both corrosion resistance and hydrogen absorption property, useful as materials for nuclear reactors. Such a zirconium-base alloy for nuclear reactors comprises 0.5-2 wt. % Sn, 0.07-0.6 wt. % Fe, 0.03-0.2 wt. % Ni, 0.05-0.2 wt. % Cr, and the balance being zirconium and unavoidable impurities, wherein the Fe content (X wt. %) of the zirconium-base alloy and the mean size (Y nm) of precipitates in the zirconium-base alloy are present in a region on the x (Fe content X) and y (mean precipitate size) rectangular coordinates, surrounded by the following five lines: i) Y=−444×X+154, ii) Y=910×X−46, iii) Y=0, iv) Y=300, and v) X=0.6.

  • Patent number: 6220341
Abstract: An air conditioning system comprises a heat source side machine, a plurality of user side machines more than half of which are disposed below the heat source side machine, and liquid phase and gas phase pipes connecting the heat source side machine with the user side machines to form a closed circuit. A phase-changeable fluid included in the closed circuit circulates by utilizing its own specific gravity difference between the liquid and gas phases, so that each of the user side machines can perform cooling and heating operations. The liquid phase pipe and the gas phase pipe can communicate with each other via a gas bypass circuit and/or a liquid bypass circuit including a open-close valve and liquid level detection means, so that bubbles or condensed liquid generated in the closed circuit can be exhausted quickly.

  • Patent number: 6006528
Abstract: In an air conditioning system for circulating a fluid which can change a phase between a gas phase and a liquid phase by a difference of a specific gravity between the gas phase and the liquid phase between an heat source side machine and a plurality of user side machines more than half of which are disposed below the heat source side machine, so that each of the user side machines performs a cooling operation, each of the user side machines is provided with a heat exchanger, a flow control valve for controlling a volume of said fluid supplied to the heat exchanger, a blow means for supplying an air-conditioned air to a room through the heat exchanger, a physical value detecting means for detecting a physical value relating to an air conditioning load such as a temperature and a signal controlling means for the operating and detecting portions, and wherein the heat source side machine is provided with a control means for communicating with said signal controlling means and outputting a control signal to said

  • Patent number: 4863679
Abstract: Disclosed are a cladding tube for a nuclear fuel and a nuclear fuel element incorporating the cladding tube. The cladding tube consists of an inner zirconium liner layer and an outer zirconium alloy layer. The cladding tube has at least one of the following features: (I) the ratio a/b of the oxygen content a to iron content b in the zirconium liner layer is greater than 1.0, (II) the zirconium liner layer is made of a zirconium into the matrix of which impurities are dissolved, and (III) the second phase particles having microscopic sizes and dispersed in the inner surface of the zirconium liner layer and/or the outer surface of the zirconium alloy layer have been removed substantially. Owing to these features, undesirable stress corrosion cracking and local corrosion are remarkably suppressed in the cladding tube and the nuclear fuel element of the invention.
