  • Publication number: 20150112719
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a document image obtaining unit, an attribute information obtaining unit, and a document-with-coded-image generating unit. The document image obtaining unit obtains a document image by scanning a document arranged in a specific format. The attribute information obtaining unit obtains attribute information on the document from character information written in a location specified based on the format of the document. The document-with-coded-image generating unit generates a document with coded image including a coded image based on the attribute information and document information that indicates contents of the document.

  • Patent number: 8687209
Abstract: A processing apparatus includes a processing unit and a first registration unit. The processing unit executes a requested process. The first registration unit registers therein first identification information which identifies another device, in advance. If a request for the process is received from said another device, the processing unit complies with the request without authenticating a user who makes the request on condition that the first identification information of said another device which makes the request is registered in the first registration unit.

  • Patent number: 5493408
Abstract: In an image processing system, a file server, an image processing apparatus and a terminal unit are connected to a network. The image processing apparatus collects information on available functions, the status of the operation for image processing, and the status of failures and consumable supplies, from a detecting unit, thereby creating a status file and registers it in the file server. The user of the terminal unit obtains the status file from the file server and allows it to be displayed on a display device. This enables the user to find out the functions provided by the image processing apparatus, the status of the operation for image processing, the history of failures, and the like. On the basis of this information, the user can create an operation mode file defining specific image processing, and register it in the file server.

  • Patent number: 5247371
Abstract: Disclosed is an image processing system in which an input image read from a document is subjected to image processing on the basis of machine operation indicating information defined in a job control sheet, to thereby obtain an output image. The job control sheet having specific marks or patterns arranged at its four corners so as to be point symmetrical with each other for discriminating the job control sheet from a document. The specific marks are comprised of attributes which are different in part for each of the specific marks.

  • Patent number: 5148294
Abstract: An apparatus and method for editing an entire image, including closed areas surrounded by other closed areas, contained within a framed area is disclosed. Image data obtained through a prescan is first written into a bit map memory, in the form of first data, e.g., 5. A closed area containing a point designated by a user is then painted with data of 3, for example. The entire area outside the closed area is painted with third data of 1, for example, using a start point that is a point outside the area of the original. Further, the bit map memory is painted with fourth data, e.g., a function number N corresponding to the type of the preset image edit processing, with the designated point as a start point of the painting and the third data as a pattern delineating the area painted with the fourth data. Through the above steps of processing, the framed area is entirely painted with the number N. Then, the number N is set to the value corresponding to the type of image edit processing.

  • Patent number: 5126858
Abstract: A picture image processing system which produces output picture images by executing picture image processing operations on input picture images with an input means furnishing instructions on machine operations, input picture information from an original document, and processed picture information for the input picture information, a recognizing means for the information mentioned above, a composite picture image generating means producing composite picture images by integration of the processed picture information into the input picture information recognized as mentioned above, and an output means yielding the output of such composite picture images on paper. The picture image processing system of the present invention is capable of performing a variety of picture image editing and composing functions and a variety of functions for producing an output of composite picture images using different types of picture image output equipment and sending the output to multiple destinations for document distribution.

  • Patent number: 5014331
Abstract: A method of determining an internal point within a closed area, which includes the steps of drawing a circumference of a closed area on a bit map memory by bits corresponding to a plurality of successive picture elements, and calculating coordinates of an internal point of the closed area on the basis of maximizing and minimizing in the respective axial directions of coordinates of the picture elements constituting the circumference of the closed area. With the invention, a user only need draw an external form of a free form. It is unnecessary to indicate a start point of a painting out operation. Therefore, the operation of setting an area is simplified and erroneous operation is prevented.

  • Patent number: 4998132
Abstract: An image edit system comprises a write circuit for writing specific bits into areas about locations in a bit map memory in accordance with the coordinates of a plurality of points as entered by a coordinates entering unit, the locations in a bit map memory corresponding to the plurality of points, an image input unit for reading an image on an original by scanning the original, a read circuit for reading out the contents of the bit map memory in synchronism with the scanning by the image input unit, and a circuit for replacing the data of the image on the original with specific data or adding the specific data to the image data when the specific bits are read out of the bit map memory.Specific bits are written into the bit map memory, in a pattern about the points designated by the coordinates entering unit. When the original image is scanned, the contents of the bit map memory are read out in synchronism with the scan.
