Insulating material is operatively positioned around the reservoir for protecting and insulating the reservoir. The open ends of said double-tubing type solar heat collecting tube is positioned in a fixed fluid-tight manner to the connecting opening and is mounted flush with the inner surface of the reservoir for increasing the area of fluid circulation within the reservoir.

    Abstract: A retaining device for an inner tube of an evacuated double-tubing type solar heat collector having a ring formed around an outer periphery surface of an inner tube and at least three equally spaced-apart leaf springs being affixed to the ring at right angles to the diametric direction thereof. Each leaf spring is constructed from a narrow metal strip bent into a corrugated or gentle saw-tooth shape. The leaf springs having portions for contacting an inner surface of an outer tube formed at bent crest portions, and portions for contacting the outer surface of the inner tube formed at bent trough portions. The leaf springs are bent centripetally inward at one end thereof and formed into respective holders of a getter metal at the inwardly bent portions.

    Abstract: A pipe coupler including a socket having a valve member provided with a fluid passage and a plug designed to engage and open the valve member. A locking ball is provided to retain the plug relative to the socket after insertion therein. The valve member includes a blank flange normally engaged against an annular seal to close the fluid passage. A locking ball-bearing annulus is slidably mounted within the socket to normally hold the locking ball in a disengaged position. A single O-ring is positioned between the valve member and the bearing annulus in such a manner that the single O-ring is not subjected to any axially excessive force when the blank flange engages the annular seal. The single O-ring includes an outer surface and an inner surface which seal against the inner surface of the socket and the outer surface of the plug, respectively.

The inner tube is coaxially inserted into the outer tube and hermetically sealed together at their open ends, with a space therebetween being evacuated to vacuum. A case is provided to open on hinges and to receive the cooking glass tube at its central portion. A curved reflector is bisymmetrically provided on the case, which forms a reflex mirror for the solar rays when the case is opened. A tiltable stand attached to the outside of the case is provided to support the case in an inclined state.

    Abstract: A vacuum glass tube type heat collector tube with a substantially straight, double cylindrical construction is closed at its initially open end with an end cap having two or more separate ports for heat transmitting medium. A solar system unit is made up of a center conduit with two separate medium passages and a plurality of such heat collector tubes combined in a rib like arrangement with a valve mechanism arranged at every junction of the center conduit with the tubes which instantly closes upon accidental breakage of the associated tube. Easy drainage of the medium releaves the tubes from breakage due to medium freezing and instant closing of the valve upon tube breakage enables free replacement of the broken tube without any interception to the normal operation of the remaining part of the unit.

    Abstract: A bubble wash unit is provided with a wash basin for filling water, a stand assembly disposed to the bottom of the wash basin via bayonet coupling, and a bubble assembly disposed to the wash basin via snap coupling while astriding the upper edge of the wash basin in order to pneumatically connect an easily disassembable bubble disc placed on the inside bottom of the wash basin to a compressor suspensibly held within the stand assembly. Easily disassembable construction via bayonet or snap coupling enables complete protection of the compressor against wetting, easy transportation and handling of the unit, and easy replacement and/or cleaning of mechanical elements. A suspensible support successfully damps vibration of the compressor.
