  • Publication number: 20040147666
Abstract: The first and second aspects of the present invention have their object to provide a coating composition with which a layer mainly comprising a fluororesin and having a thickness comparable to that attainable by the two-coat technique can be formed by one-coat technique, desirably with the fluororesin disposed mainly on the substrate side and the binder resin disposed mainly on the coating film surface side remote from the substrate, and the surface layer thus can be formed in an arbitrary manner and which can be used in a wide range of fields.

  • Publication number: 20040132914
Abstract: A stabilized fluorine-containing polymer powder having an average particle size of 5 to 100 &mgr;m is prepared by contacting a fluorine-containing polymer powder, which is prepared by milling the fluorine-containing polymer and removing fine particles, fibrous particles and coarse particles by classification, with a fluorinating agent so that the total number of unstable terminal groups is decreased to 7 to 50 per 106 carbon atoms. This a fluorine-containing polymer powder achieved a high coating efficiency in an electrostatic coating method and provides a film having good properties such as heat resistance, non-tackiness, low frictional property, chemical resistance, etc.

  • Patent number: 6734236
Abstract: To provide a fluorine-containing resin powder coating composition giving a fluorine containing resin coating film having a high whiteness, and various articles having on an outer surface thereof a coating of which has a high whiteness and can be produced by applying the fluorine-containing resin powder coating composition. The fluorine-containing resin powder coating composition is subjected To baking at 300° C. or more, and the fluorine-containing resin composition for forming the coating film comprises surface-treated rutile titanium oxide particles as a whitening agent.

  • Patent number: 6376647
Abstract: Process for producing fluorine-containing polymer powder which comprises densifying fluorine-containing polymer raw powder with rolls under conditions for permitting its specific gravity to achieve at least 90% of the true specific gravity, then comminuting the densified material, removing fine particles in the range of 3 to 40% by weight of the whole particle size distribution of the comminuted material by air classification, and further removing by classification coarse particles in the range of 1 to 20% by weight of the whole particle size distribution of the comminuted material. Powder can be used as a powder paint which is excellent in productivity, in powder fluidity, and which does not generate pollution upon heat-fusion.

  • Patent number: 6214136
Abstract: The film boiling state of a refrigerant is maintained for a time longer than in the prior art by t to lower the nuclear boiling start temperature to a temperature at which the material proof strength of a work exceeds thermal stress, thereby lowering the cooling rate of the work. In addition, by controlling the cooling rate in hardening, the film boiling state of the refrigerant is maintained to a temperature at which the material proof strength exceeds thermal stress, thereby cooling the work at a temperature equal to or higher than the critical cooling rate of the work.

  • Patent number: 5879746
Abstract: An aqueous dispersion composition comprising a fluorine-containing melt-processable resin powder having an average particle size of 10 to 1000 .mu.m, a water-soluble solvent, a surfactant and water, and said fluorine-containing melt-processable resin powder being contained in an amount of 15 to 80 % by weight. Without generating cracks and pin holes, a thickness of coating film per one application can be increased more than 1 mm, and a total thickness can further be made thicker.

  • Patent number: 5115038
Abstract: A copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and a perfluoro(alkyl vinyl ether) having the formula (I):CF.sub.2 .dbd.CF--O--Rf (I)wherein Rf is a perfluoroalkyl group having 3 or 4 carbon atoms; and said copolymer having 1 to 10% by weight of the perfluoro(alkyl vinyl ether) units, having 7 to 20, per 10.sup.6 carbon atoms, of terminal groups --CONH.sub.2, having substantially no --CH.sub.2 OH and no --COF, and having a melt viscosity at 380.degree. C. of 0.1.times.10.sup.4 to 100.times.10.sup.4 poise and a preparation process thereof. The tetrafluoroethylene copolymer is thermally stable and has excellent powder properties. Molded articles thereform have a few bubbles and excellent dimensional stability on heating.
