  • Patent number: 4325625
Abstract: An electrophotographing method for use in a copying apparatus employing a sensitizing screen having a great number of fine apertures, made in a drum shape, and a transferring means having a conductive base plate and a charge storage layer formed on the base plate. The transferring means is constructed in the form of a drum. During the process of obtaining a great number of copies from a primary electrostatic latent image which has been stored on the sensitizing means, a secondary electrostatic latent image is formed and regenerated on the transferring means from the stored primary latent image.

  • Patent number: 4230786
Abstract: An electrographic process of producing, on a dielectric coated record medium, an electrostatic copy latent image by modulating a flow of corona ions with the aid of an electrostatic latent image which has been produced on a photoconductive photosensitive screen having a number of openings. The process is characterized by making a ratio K of a maximum surface potential V volts of the electrostatic copy latent image produced on the dielectric coated record medium to an intensity of the electric field E volts/mm established between the photoconductive photosensitive screen and the dielectric coated record medium, i.e. K=V/E smaller than about 0.18 for the purpose of preventing enlargement of dots of the copy picture image.

  • Patent number: 4099863
Abstract: An electrographic process for producing, an electrostatic charge image corresponding to an image to be recorded on a record sheet having a dielectric material layer, by modulating a flow of corona ions by an electrostatic latent image formed on a photosensitive screen is disclosed. The process comprises changing a bias electric voltage applied across two electric conductive layers of the photosensitive screen in a direction such that attenuation of the electrostatic latent image formed on the photosensitive layer is compensated in response to the number of copies to be obtained.

  • Patent number: 4083720
Abstract: A photosensitive grid useful for screen type electrographic apparatuses and the method of manufacturing the photosensitive grid are disclosed. The photosensitive grid comprises a grid shaped electrically conductive core, first and second photoconductive layers formed on opposed side surfaces of the core, respectively, and an electrically conductive layer formed on either one of the first and second photoconductive layers. The method comprises the successive steps of formation of the above mentioned layers on the grid shaped core by vapor deposition in a vacuum.

  • Patent number: 4080045
Abstract: An optical fiber bundle having end portions where respective fibers are fixed together and a middle portion where respective fibers are separated from each other and provided with reinforcing pipes covering portions near border lines between said middle portion and said end portions, portions near end portions of said optical fiber bundle having high strength against bending.
