  • Publication number: 20090014277
Abstract: According to the present invention, pieces of data of states of sensors and actuators in a bill discriminating and counting apparatus are stored in a ring memory at constant time intervals, among these stored data, both the data involved in an error are associated with the error events and stored in a non-volatile memory or a hard disk when the error is occurred in the bill discriminating and counting apparatus, and then the data is read from the non-volatile memory or hard disk to analyze the error. Specifically, digital port input and output information (states of sensors and actuators), analog sensor voltage, and analog motor current value are stored in a memory at constant time intervals since the power is turned on or the counting is started, and the stored port information and voltage are stored in the non-volatile memory or the like along with contents of abnormality when the abnormality is occurred.

  • Patent number: 6908029
Abstract: To provide a bill counter that does not require designation of detectors effective for authenticity/counterfeit determination corresponding to counterfeit preventive countermeasures and yet enables counting only by designation of kinds of bills issued by the nations concerned. The present invention is a bill counter comprising, a bill type memory means wherein kinds of bills and detector groups selected among the plural kinds of detectors with different determining principles are related with each other and memorized in advance, and a bill type selecting means for selecting the bill types memorized in the bill type memory means as counting objective bills, characterized by that corresponding to the selection of bills by the bill type selecting means, the corresponding detector groups memorized in advance in the bill type memory means are specified, and authenticity/counterfeit determination is conducted by the specified detector groups.

  • Patent number: 4747492
Abstract: A note sorting and counting apparatus includes a draw-out unit for drawing out in succession notes accumulated in a stack, a discrimination unit for discriminating at least denomination of notes drawn out by the draw-out unit, a sorting unit for sorting notes according to the denomination of notes on the basis of the denomination discriminated by the discrimination unit, a plurality of temporary reserving units for temporarily reserving the notes sorted by the sorting unit according to the denomination of note, a judgement or determining unit for judging or determining whether the temporary reserving units are filled with notes, a corresponding plurality of containers for receiving notes accommodated in the temporary reserving unit according to the denomination of the stacked notes, and a control unit for causing the transfer of notes reserved in the temporary reserving units to their respective containers.

  • Patent number: 4681229
Abstract: A note sorting and counting apparatus comprises an ejecting device for ejecting notes one by one from a stack of notes, an identifying device for identifying the notes, a sorting device for sorting the notes into groups in accordance with the result of the identification, and a plurality of containers allotted to the respective groups, each container receiving the notes of the group to which it is allotted. The identification may be as to whether the note is obverse or reverse, and as to the denomination, and the notes may be sorted into groups comprising obverse notes of the respective denominations and a group comprising reverse notes. The identification may alternatively include one as to whether the note is normal or damaged, and the notes may then be sorted into a group comprising obverse and normal notes and a group comprising obverse and damaged notes.

  • Patent number: 4245024
Abstract: A development process for an electrophotographic duplicator using magnetic toner and a photosensitive material selected from the group consisting of selenium, organic semiconductor, and cadmium sulfide. The magnetic toner is transferred in a maximum thickness of 1.5 mm onto a cylindrical non-magnetic sleeve enclosing a magnetic roll. The magnetic force of the roll on the sleeve is in the range of from 300 to 1000 gauss and the toner comprises magnetite in the range of 40 to 70 percent by volume and has a volume specific resistivity higher than 10.sup.7 ohm-cm and a granulometric measure of less than 30 .mu.m. A surface potential is applied in the range of from 300 to 1200 volts on the photosensitive material formed on the surface of a rotatable drum-shaped member. The magnetic toner is continuously conveyed to a development section of the photosensitive material during rotation of the member for brushing the toner in contact with the photosensitive material.
