Abstract: There is provided a method for manufacturing a turbine component which enables obtaining a single crystal structure more easily and manufacturing a good turbine component. In the seed crystal placing step, the seed crystal is placed on the surface of the base in a manner that a first direction along <001> of the seed crystal has an angle within 15 degrees in absolute value in relation to a laminating direction. In the shaped layer forming step, scanning is performed in a manner that the scan direction has an angle within 20 degrees in absolute value in relation to a second direction being <001> orthogonal to the first direction of the seed crystal.

  • Patent number: 6051977
Abstract: A coating fault locating technique transmits a base electric signal from a power source to a buried metal pipe. A location of a coating fault in the buried pipe is detected by detecting a gradient of a changing magnetic field between two points spaced along the buried pipe. The gradient is detected based upon the output differential of at least one pair of search coils. The gradient is caused by a leakage of current that occurs at the coating fault. In particular, the at least one pair of search coils are provided in a mobile unit that is located above ground. The at least one pair of search coils are spaced apart from one another and have their axes arranged so as to have a low sensitivity to a magnetic field generated by the base electric signal running through the buried pipe. The at least one pair of coils are spaced apart from each other such that a line drawn between midpoints of the search coils' axes crosses a plane normal to the axis of the buried pipe.

  • Patent number: 5119257
Abstract: A rotary head device having a rotary drum and a rotating motor within the rotary drum, with the stator of the motor being supported by a fixed arm attached to a fixed drum or to a fixed drum supporting member. The construction permits the manufacture of the rotary head device using the manufacturing equipment used for conventional rotary shaft type rotary head devices despite the rotary head device being a thin device. In this rotary head device the position of contact of a ground brush and a rotor can be set at the center of rotation or thereabouts, so despite it being a thin device, the sliding speed of the ground brush is low, and hence it is possible to prevent the abrasion of the ground brush and also to prevent increase of the rotative driving torque.

  • Patent number: 5106268
Abstract: An electromagnetic reciprocating pump which maintains the outlet pressure at a preset value comprising a pressure sensor for detecting the actual outlet pressure of the electromagnetic reciprocating pump and means to feedback control the frequency of the reciprocating motion and, if necessary, its stroke of the electromagnetic drive means based on the deviation from the preset outlet pressure of the actual outlet pressure. The reciprocating motion frequency control of the electromagnetic drive means may be done by modulating the frequency and amplitude of the half-wave AC current supplied to the electromagnetic drive means. With this, the control of the number of times of the reciprocating motion of the electromagnetic drive means can be carried out without changing the reciprocating motion stroke of the electromagnetic drive means.

  • Patent number: 5100304
Abstract: A solenoid-operated reciprocating pump includes a casing having a cylinder with a central axis. A main shaft is disposed in and secured at one end to the casing in alignment with the central axis of the cylinder. A piston having a piston head is slidably fitted over the main shaft such that the piston head is disposed within the cylinder for axial motion. A coil spring extends between the piston and casing to bias the piston in a first axial direction and an armature radially extends from the outer periphery of the piston for interaction with an electromagnet disposed around the longitudinal periphery of the piston. The electromagnet attracts the armature and hence the piston in a second axial direction opposite from the first direction.

  • Patent number: 4833562
Abstract: A rotary magnetic head cylinder device for use in a helical-scanning system video tape recorder has a projection provided on a tape running race of a stationary lower cylinder near a location at which a magnetic tape leaves from the lower cylinder. The projection is preferably integral with the tape running race and has a small area which is defined by a shoulder circumferentially extending identically with a tape guide shoulder contouring the lower edge of the tape running race and which spreads perpendicularly to the tape running race, and an upper surface coplanar with the top face of the lower cylinder, and a height defined by a protruded length radially outwardly toward the outer circumferential surface of the lower cylinder. The projection serves to reduce vibrations of the magnetic tape generated when the video head carried by the rotary upper cylinder leaves from the magnetic tape.
