  • Patent number: 5894938
Abstract: A glass cullet separation apparatus according to the present invention includes a hopper (1), a rotary feeder (6), an inclined guide plate (14), a conveying belt (17), and a foreign glass discrimination device (37). The discriminated device can radiate a laser beam onto a surface of a cullet passing over a slit of the conveying belt (17) for emission therefrom and for discriminating a "yes or no" foreign glass determination by analyzing a spectrum of the emission. Also, included is a color discrimination device (41), a foreign glass discrimination trigger sensor (33), a color discrimination trigger sensor (40), and air nozzles (44) for ejecting the cullet at each predetermined positions which correspond to the cullet of the foreign glass and the cullet of each color. A non-contact type photoelectric sensor (45) is provided for sensing the cullet passing the air nozzle (44).

  • Patent number: 5479834
Abstract: An apparatus for inspecting the inner surface (8a) of a hole includes a rotor shaft (12) supported rotatably (14, 16) around its lengthwise axis and movably along the axis and a sensor assembly (7) which is linked by a tilting mechanism (1) with the rotor shaft so that it can be inclined with respect to the axis of the rotor shaft and rotates and moves as the rotor shaft rotates and moves. The sensor assembly selectively assumes the upright position in which its axis coaligns with the lengthwise axis of the rotor shaft, which is necessary for inserting the sensor assembly through a hole (9a) into the hole in the object being inspected, and a titled position in which its axis is inclined with respect to the axis of the rotor shaft, which is necessary for scanning the inner surface (8c) of the hole, by tilting mechanism (1). The rotor shaft is connected to a rotating mechanism (3) and a lifting mechanism (2).

  • Patent number: 4744251
Abstract: An apparatus for examining a circumferential surface of each of a plurality of tubular members disposed in axially parallel relationship with each other has a rail adapted to extend between adjacent tubular members; a truck movable on and along the rail, a support frame having mounts at each end tiltably mounting the support frame on the truck for tilting around an axis extending along the rail, and a tilting mechanism connected to the support frame for tilting the support frame. A semi-circular shaped beam is mounted on the support frame for rotation around an axis through the center of the circle on which the semi-circular shaped beam lies and open laterally of the rail, and a sensing element is disposed at a predetermined position on the semi-circular shaped beam.
