  • Publication number: 20070133145
Abstract: When charges are removed from a charged workpiece by applying positive and negative pulse-like high voltages to positive and negative electrode needles to generate positive and negative ions in a charge removing area and feeding the charged workpiece into the charge removing area, an ion balance inside the charge removing area is measured by a surface potential sensor before the workpiece is fed into the charge removing area, and a pulse width and/or a voltage value of the pulse-like high voltage applied to the electrode needle is changed depending on a measured result, thereby adjusting an amount of ions generated from the electrode needle to take a balance between the positive and negative ions.

  • Publication number: 20070126363
Abstract: In an ionizer, in which an electrode cartridge having a pair of electrodes is mounted in an electrode-attaching opening of a housing so as to be freely attached and detached by means of rotating the same around a center axial line, a drop-off prevention cover is attached to the housing. In the drop-off prevention cover, a fitting hole, to which the electrode cartridge is fitted, is formed, and by means of limiting a rotation of the electrode cartridge by the fitting hole, the electrode cartridge is prevented from dropping off.

  • Publication number: 20070041643
Abstract: A character recognition apparatus generates each character candidate from a character string written in a plurality of character entry boxes written on a sheet of paper such as a business form, and performs character recognition. A row image separating unit acquires an image containing a plurality of character entry boxes and the character string. A character extraction processing unit detects each point at which a plurality of lines are in contact with each other and intersect in the character string contained in the image, determines a point at which the character string should be cut or recombined on the basis of the placement relationship between the point and the corresponding character entry box, and generates each character candidate constituting the character string. A character recognition unit performs character recognition for each character candidate generated by the character extraction processing unit.

  • Patent number: 7144005
Abstract: A clamping device in which there is no need to carry out troublesome setting operation of a clamping position according to a size of a workpiece and wear of respective components and an operation efficiency can be further improved. A worm which is engaged with a worm wheel provided to a periphery of a rotating shaft of a clamping arm and which is connected to an electric motor can reciprocate in an axial direction. On the axis, a clamping force applying mechanism to be actuated in response to contact of the rotated clamping arm with the workpiece to apply an axial force in a direction of the axis to the worm is provided. The clamping arm is rotated by driving the worm for rotation by the electric motor and the clamping force applying mechanism applies a clamping force to the clamping arm which has come in contact with the workpiece.

  • Publication number: 20060260464
Abstract: A bent section, which is bent substantially perpendicularly toward a main cylinder body, is formed at one end of a slide table. Further, a pair of ball-rolling grooves, in which a plurality of ball bearings roll, are formed on side surfaces of the slide table opposed to a guide section. A relief groove, which has a width wider than a spacing distance between the ball-rolling grooves and which makes it possible to change the direction of a processing jig when the ball-rolling grooves are processed, is formed at ends of the ball-rolling grooves disposed on a side of the bent section.
