  • Publication number: 20060185828
Abstract: A thermosyphon device is provided for both cooling and warming (heating) enabling, by a simple structure, the easy installation operation, elimination of the need of adjusting operation, a reduction in manufacturing cost, and an increase in heat transportation efficiency. A large number of circumferentially-formed narrow concave grooves (G) are formed in the inner wall surface (121) of an outer tube (12) and in the outer wall surface (141) of an inner tube (14) facing the working space (S) of a double tube type thermosyphon disposed in the lateral direction. An operating liquid (Q) is evaporated at the evaporating portion of either of the inner wall surface (121) of the outer tube and the outer wall surface (141) of the inner tube and is condensed on the other wall surface while being raised in the circumferential direction of the wall surfaces (121, 141) by a capillary attraction via the narrow recessed grooves (G) to cool or heat the outer area of the outer tube.

  • Patent number: 5721578
Abstract: A gradation control method in a color thermal transfer printer is adapted to express one pixel by a dot matrix with two rows and two coles, control a density value of one dot with a time for energizing a heating element of a thermal head, and carry out mask patterning for plotting only one of four dots when the gradation of each color for one pixel is not more than a prescribed value while plotting only two of the four dots when the gradation is in excess of the prescribed value. At this time, employed is a mask pattern of necessarily plotting cyan and magenta on dots which are different from each other. A picture quality improving method in a staggered printing system is adapted to plot a noted dot when at least one of such conditions that density data of the noted dot is in excess of a prescribed density value and that density data of any of four dots most approximate to the noted dot is not more than a prescribed low density value is satisfied, even if the noted dot corresponds to that to be masked.

  • Patent number: 5616386
Abstract: The present invention is intended to provide a cleaning sheet which is easy to handle and effective to clean a picker roller. A cleaning sheet coated with a cleaning adhesive is placed in a paper feeding cassette. A picker roller rotates thereby being cleaned with the cleaning sheet. The sheet has a certain stiffness so as not to disengage from a claw of the cassette when the picker roller rotates. The sheet is composed of a base sheet with a coat of cleaning adhesive and a releasable cover sheet. The base sheet and the releasable cover sheet are cut off by specified portions allowing for the multiple use of the sheet. A higher cleaning effect is obtained by using an adhesive containing abrasive grains as a cleaning adhesive applied onto the cleaning sheet.

  • Patent number: 4870049
Abstract: Disclosed is a heat sensitive sheet which can develop a black image having excellent oil and light resistance, comprising a combination of a record sheet to be printed and a transfer sheet for forming an image on said record sheet, wherein said record sheet is coated with a solution comprising an organic or inorganic nickel compound an an organic and inorganic copper compound and said transfer sheet is coated with dithiooxamide. The present invention also provides a transfer sheet which can form a printed black image having excellent oil and light resistance on any type of record sheets. The transfer sheet is coated with an organic compound having a phenolic hydroxyl group or an amino group directly bonded to aromatic ring and quinone or a quinone derivative substituted by an electron attractive group in such a condition that the organic compound is not reacted with quinone or the quinone derivative.

  • Patent number: 4279849
Abstract: Cordierite ceramic honeycomb structural bodies having a high thermal shock resistance and a high water absorption are produced by adding the defined amount of starch powder, a binder and water to a ceramic starting material to crystallize cordierite upon firing.
