  • Patent number: 6315630
Abstract: A skateboard and remote control unit cooperate to provide remotely controlled movement of a skateboard in response to user commands. A doll is secured upon the upper surface of the skateboard in a standing position characteristic of typical skateboarders. The doll includes an upper torso freely pivotable upon a lower torso by a pivotal attachment therebetween. The upper torso further supports a pair of freely pivotable arms. An offset weight is secured within the doll upper torso to cause response to momentum changes by the skateboarding doll as the skateboard moves about. The doll upper torso and the doll arms freely move in response to momentum changes of the skateboard to provide a realistic appearing skateboarding doll.

  • Patent number: 6273781
Abstract: A toy figure supports a pair of arm carriers pivotally secured within the torso interior near the shoulder of the toy figure. Each arm carrier includes an arm attachment apparatus and an inwardly extending arm shaft. A pair of pivot bearings pivotally support the arm shafts for pivotal motion in a horizontal plane. The arm shafts are carried within tight-fitting bores of the pivot bearings to facilitate rotational motion of the arm carriers and the supported arms about the shoulders in a vertical plane. A button is supported within the torso and extends outwardly through an aperture in the rear of the torso. The button is coupled to a pivotable yoke which is coupled to the interior ends of the arm shafts such that pivotal motion of the yoke causes pivotal motion of the arm shafts in a horizontal plane.

  • Patent number: 5890942
Abstract: A conventional doll receives and supports a combination diving mask and simulated snorkel unit. The combination diving mask and snorkel unit includes a mask body supporting a transparent faceplate and a snorkel mouthpiece. A snorkel body secured to the mouthpiece extends upwardly alongside the mask body and supports a resilient air bladder having a fish shape. The snorkel further includes a bubble blowing mechanism which is operative in response to squeezing of the fish-shaped air bladder to produce a plurality of bubbles emanating from the upper portion of the snorkel body.

  • Patent number: 5273478
Abstract: A toy vehicle includes a generally rectangular hollow supporting chassis and a replica vehicle body pivotally secured to the chassis at the front portion. A return spring resiliently biases the rear portion of the truck body in a generally horizontal position. A battery power unit and electric motor are supported within the vehicle chassis and coupled to the vehicle wheels by a gear coupling mechanism. The gear coupling mechanism is engageable and disengageable by a shift lever extending upwardly from within the vehicle chassis to beyond the vehicle body. A sound unit includes a sound drum and a flexible reed supported closely thereto. A plurality of extending tabs within the drive gear system are operative upon motor rotation to flex and release the spring reed against the drum head sound unit to produce engine sounds. A heavy flywheel is coupled to the motor drive system and produces gradual slowdown when the motor is disengaged.

  • Patent number: 5254030
Abstract: A toy vehicle launcher includes a generally planar base having a pair of angularly disposed downwardly sloped toy vehicle feed ramps coupled thereto. A pivotally supported carriage defines a pair of angularly disposed launching stations for receiving toy vehicles from the feed ramps. An operative mechanism is coupled to a slidable handle supported upon the base to pivot the carriage back and forth between the feed ramps to alternate each launching station between a vehicle receiving position in alignment with a feed ramp and a launching position. A movable spring-loaded striker is operative in response to handle motion to strike the toy vehicle positioned within the launch position and drive the vehicle outwardly from the launcher.

  • Patent number: 4685894
Abstract: A toy vehicle having front opening gates and an ejectable flywheel seat which may be used as a gyroscopic top or to propel the vehicle. The flywheel seat is removably mounted to the top of the vehicle. A launching level rotatably coupled to the front axle of the vehicle may be used to simultaneously eject the flywheel seat from the toy vehicle and open two gates at the front of the vehicle. Downward movement of the level causes a tiltable box to rotate resulting in the seat being ejected from the vehicle. Movement of the lever also causes a sliding plate to move forward forcing the front gates to open. A flywheel is rotatably mounted inside the flywheel seat. When the flywheel seat is mounted on top of the vehicle, gears coupled to the front axle and mounted inside the tiltable box cause the flywheel to rotate inside the seat as the front wheels of the vehicle rotate. As such, the kinetic energy of the flywheel may be used to propel the toy vehicle forward.

  • Patent number: 4355482
Abstract: A roller skating doll is disclosed. The doll has a roller skate attached to each foot, and the skates are in turn driven by motors positioned in the adjoining legs. The legs and one foot of the doll are articulated and may be secured in various positions so that the doll may skate on both legs or skate balanced on one leg. A skate may be fixed in different steering positions so that the doll may progress forward or in a circle. The skate drive motors are remotely controlled and are energized alternately in a fashion that emulates the movements of a human roller skater. An alternate embodiment is also disclosed which permits the skates to be removed from the doll.
