Patent number: 4760531Abstract: A map display system for displaying a linear object on a map in accordance with stored map data is disclosed. The coordinate components of at least two specified points on the linear object and other points thereon crossing straight lines drawn in spaced relationship and in parallel with the straight line connecting the specified points are stored as map data in a memory. The coordinate components thus stored are converted into a display coordinate by a display control to generate a display signal. In accordance with the display signal the linear object is displayed on a display within a predetermined display section.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 1986Date of Patent: July 26, 1988Assignee: Nippondenso Co., Ltd.Inventors: Toshio Yasui, Michima Ogawa

Patent number: 4744033Abstract: In an electronic map display system, predetermined linear display object data of all map data are stored in a first memory according to a predetermined coordinate system. Target point data other than the predetermined linear display object data are stored in a second memory in accordance with a relative coordinate system based on the predetermined linear objects. The data of the first memory are converted into display data of designated magnification rate by a first converter. The target point data of the second memory are converted into display data in accordance with a coordinate system based on the linear display objects by a second converter. A display signal is produced to display a map image in accordance with the data converted by the first and second data converters.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 1986Date of Patent: May 10, 1988Assignee: Nippondenso Co., Ltd.Inventors: Michima Ogawa, Toshio Yasui, Kenzo Ito

Patent number: 4572543Abstract: A retractable safety belt system for restraining a vehicle occupant in a seat comprising a seat belt secured at one end to a reel of an electric-motor driven retractor. The retractor motor is controlled by control means (9) having a drive circuit (92G) and a reverse rotation or protraction rotation detection circuit (94A) which senses the reverse rotation of the motor as the seat belt is protracted and energizes the motor to retract the seat belt, thereby removing any slack in the seat belt. Preferably, the control means includes an increasing voltage circuit (94C) for gradually increasing the voltage applied to the motor, thereby reducing the motor torque at the initial stage of retraction. Also, the control means preferably includes a load sensing circuit (94B) which de-energizes the motor as the load on the motor and, hence, the tension in the seat belt reaches a predetermined level.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 1984Date of Patent: February 25, 1986Assignees: Nippon Soken, Inc., Nippondenso Co., Ltd.Inventors: Noboru Tsuge, Satosi Kuwakado, Masahiro Taguchi, Toshio Yasui
