  • Publication number: 20180329350
Abstract: A printer includes a printing unit which performs printing on a sheet and which discharges a printed sheet from a discharging opening, and a pair of body-side feet disposed on both sides in a width direction of a sheet to be discharged from the discharging opening. A sheet housing apparatus includes a housing unit which houses a sheet to be discharged from the discharging opening, and a pair of housing-side feet disposed on the both sides in the width direction. The sheet housing apparatus can be mounted from a predetermined mounting direction to the printer. The body-side feet and the housing-side feet are arranged to be disposed, in a state in which the sheet housing apparatus is mounted to the printer, so as to overlap with each other in the mounting direction and not to overlap with each other in the width direction.

  • Publication number: 20120050435
Abstract: A recording apparatus according to the invention includes a weight roller arranged between a platen and a winding device and configured to come into contact with a surface of a recording material to exert a conveyance resistance thereon against the direction of conveyance of the recording material, and a conveyance resistance switching mechanism configured to switch the state between a state of exerting a predetermined conveyance resistance by the weight roller and a state of reducing the predetermined conveyance resistance or a state of releasing the exertion of the predetermined conveyance resistance. The conveyance resistance exerted by the weight roller is larger than the difference between a conveying force by the winding device and a predetermined conveying force for causing the recording material to be conveyed, and is smaller than a sum of a conveying force of the conveying roller and the conveying force of the winding device.

  • Patent number: 6352334
Abstract: An ink jet printer comprises a wiper member for wiping the surface of the ink jet recording head. The ink jet recording head and the wiper member move in the same direction each other to wipe the surface of the ink jet recording head by one operation. In this way, the stabilized wiping is always possible to keep the head surface in an appropriate condition of ink discharges, hence obtaining images in beautiful print quality with the stable ink discharges.

  • Patent number: 5667318
Abstract: A cassette which can be molted in a recording apparatus includes a first winding member for winding one side of a strip member, a second winding member for winding the other side of the strip member, and a frame for rotatively housing the first and second winding members. A first regulating member regulates the rotation of the first winding member when the cassette is removed from the recording apparatus, and a second regulating member regulates the rotation of the second winding member when the cassette is removed from the recording apparatus. With the simple structure enabling the cassette to be easily assembled, it is possible to prevent the idle run of the winding members as well as the slacking of the strip member.
