  • Patent number: 8371759
Abstract: In a double row rolling bearing for supporting a pinion shaft, an outer ring is fixed to an inner peripheral surface of an annular wall (case) with its axis disposed horizontally, and an inner ring assembly is fitted on a pinion shaft, and is inserted, together with the pinion shaft, horizontally into the outer ring through a larger-diameter opening of the outer ring, and is mounted in the outer ring. A larger-diameter cage has a drop limitation portion for limiting the vertically-downward movement of the larger-diameter case.

  • Patent number: 7828483
Abstract: An upper surface of an outer ring is disposed axially inwardly of an end surface of a larger-diameter annular portion of a cage, and an outer diameter of the end surface of the larger-diameter annular portion of the cage is larger than an inner diameter of a lower surface of the outer ring. Chamfered portions for facilitating the taking-out of an outer ring assembly from the lower side of a stack of outer ring assemblies are formed respectively at the end surface of the larger-diameter annular portion of the cage and the lower surface of the outer ring.

  • Patent number: 7597482
Abstract: A skew contact double row ball bearing and a bearing device for supporting a pinion shaft. The skew contact double row ball bearing enabling the simultaneous contact of a ball row in each row on raceways at a specified contact angle when installed even if a clearance amount is reduced by the fitting of the bearing by preventing the ball bearing from being substantially affected by a change in the assembled width of each row by the fitting of the bearing. The axially double row ball rows are interposed between the raceways of inner and outer rings and at pitch circle diameters different from each other and at contact angles different from each other so that the radial clearance of the ball row with the smaller contact angle is set larger than the radial clearance of the ball row with the larger contact angle.

  • Publication number: 20070133914
Abstract: A tapered roller bearing device has an inner ring 1, an outer ring 2, tapered rollers 3, a retainer 5 and a shield plate 6. The inner ring 1 has a flange portion 1a brought in contact with minor diameter end surfaces of the tapered rollers 3. The shield plate 6 is placed brought in contact with an end surface of the flange portion 1a of the inner ring 1. The shield plate 6 has a protrusion 9 that protrudes radially outwardly of the flange portion 1a. The protrusion 9 is placed in a place having an interval from the retainer 5 in an axial direction of the inner ring 1.
