    Abstract: The valve unit of a solenoid controlled valve is disposed at the tip end of a tubular member which at a location remote from the tip end is connected to the plunger of the electromagnetic drive unit of the solenoid. A linear member inserted in and passing through the tubular member connects the plunger to the valve body of the valve unit. A liquid is conducted into the tubular member from a source. The solenoid controlled valve controls the flow of the liquid through the tubular member.
