  • Publication number: 20060070936
Abstract: A mineral-water supplying apparatus includes: a mineral-water producing apparatus for producing mineral water by passing raw water, such as city water, through a mineral eluting material(s); a drink conveying pipe for conveying the mineral water produced in the mineral-water producing apparatus to a drinking water spout; a cleaning water pipe diverging from the drink conveying pipe for conveying mineral water to a nozzle; a pump for forcing the mineral water produced in the mineral-water producing apparatus to flow through the drink conveying pipe and the cleaning water pipe; and a chlorine generator for increasing the concentration of chlorine in the mineral water produced in the mineral-water producing apparatus. This allows chlorine to be added to the resulting mineral water and increases the concentration of chlorine in the mineral water.

  • Patent number: 6742553
Abstract: In a cup-type beverage vending machine, during conveyance of a beverage-filled cup to a product taking-out position and when the cup does not reach the product taking-out position, a pivot arm is supported by a support roller and a cup on a cup stage is held by a holder. When the cup reaches the product taking-out position, a lower edge of the pivot arm is released from the support roller and the pivot arm and the holder are pivoted downward. Consequently, the holder is spaced downward apart from a front surface of the cup, which allows a customer to easily take out the cup.

  • Patent number: 6217753
Abstract: A water purifier generally associated with a beverage dispenser is disclosed. The water purifier includes a conduit having a first end and a second end opposite to the first end, and a water purifying device disposed in the conduit between the first and second ends thereof. The first end of the conduit is arranged to conduct water to be purified into the conduit, and the second end of the conduit is arranged to conduct the purified water from the conduit to a location outside of the water purifier. A flow of the water through the conduit is completely prohibited by the cooperative operations of a pressure detector at the second end of the conduit and an electromagnetic valve at the first end of the conduit at a time when the water attempts to flow through the conduit from the second end to the first end.

The water purifier includes a first conduit having a first end and a second end opposite to the first end, a second conduit having a first end and a second end opposite to the first end, a cistern disposed between the first and second conduits, and a water purifying device disposed in the flow path of either the first conduit or the second conduit. The first end of the first conduit is arranged to conduct water to be purified into the first conduit, and the second end of the second conduit is arranged to conduct the purified water from the second conduit to a location outside of the water purifier. The flow of the water from the second conduit to the first conduit is completely prevented and interrupted whenever the water attempts to flow from the second end of the second conduit to the first end of the first conduit through the arrangement of the second end of the first conduit and the cistern.
