    Abstract: A deflector type ball screw includes a screw shaft having an external thread groove in an outer peripheral surface, a ball nut having an internal thread groove in an inner peripheral surface and a plurality of balls that are rollably housed between the internal thread groove and the external thread groove, and four deflectors fixed to the ball nut. The deflectors function as by-passes linking adjacent internal thread grooves of the ball nut. As a result of the deflectors guiding the balls, the screw groove of the ball nut is divided into four circulation passages.
