  • Publication number: 20130112910
Abstract: Some kinds of carboxylic acids have a stabilizing effect on metal alkoxides and, in a precursor solution, are unlikely to cause a reduced storage stability and an increased viscosity of the precursor solution even when their content is increased; they can be used in the solvent component of the precursor solution. The carboxylic acid content is preferably in a range of 20% by mass to 60% by mass, both inclusive, of the total amount of the raw materials used to prepare the precursor solution. The carboxylic acid component prevents the hydrolysis due to the moisture in the air when the carboxylic acid content is equal to or more than 20% by mass. When the carboxylic acid content is equal to or less than 60% by mass, furthermore, the resulting precursor film will have a sufficiently large thickness.

  • Patent number: 6667730
Abstract: A display has a display panel of a first aspect ratio and is able to display on the display panel an image of a second aspect ratio whose width element is larger than that of the first aspect ratio. The display has a gate driver, a data driver, and a timing controller. The gate driver sequentially selects gate lines of the display panel. The data driver stores data for one gate line and supplies the data to one of the gate lines selected by the gate driver. The timing controller supplies control signals to the gate and data drivers so that predetermined data is displayed in top and bottom non-image areas of the display panel during a vertical blanking period. The display is capable of displaying images of different sizes.

  • Patent number: 6593918
Abstract: A driving circuit for a matrix-type panel includes a control circuit which causes image data to be supplied to the matrix-type panel when a synchronization between the image data and an operation of the matrix-type panel is established after a supply of a given timing signal necessary for an operation of the control circuit is stopped and is then restarted.

  • Patent number: 6118665
Abstract: A flexible printed circuit having wiring patterns printed on a flexible resin film, comprising a narrow flexible area having first wiring patterns and constituting a flexible wiring part and a broad connection area adapted to be adhered to a main board and having second wiring patterns connected to the first wiring patterns and adapted to be electrically connected to wiring patterns on the main board. The second wiring patterns serve to electrically connect the first wiring patterns of the flexible wiring part to the wiring patterns on the main board. Also included is a conductive adhesion surface formed on the broad connection area along a side of the main board, having a width larger than a width of the first wiring patterns, and extending from an inside of a region to an outside thereof. The region is defined in the broad connection area by extending a boundary of the flexible area into the broad connection area.

  • Patent number: 6115020
Abstract: A display device includes a display panel having display pixels arranged in matrix formation. A first driver circuit sequentially supplies image data to vertical lines of the display panel in synchronism with a first clock signal. A second driver circuit sequentially drives horizontal lines in synchronism with a second clock signal. A control circuit controls a drive timing at which the second driver circuit sequentially drives the horizontal lines so that identical image data equal to one horizontal line is supplied, from the first driver circuit in synchronism with the first clock signal, to two consecutive horizontal lines every N horizontal lines (N is an integer) in accordance with an enlargement ratio at which an image is enlarged in a vertical direction and is displayed on the display panel.

  • Patent number: 4903830
Abstract: A novel tubular chip component for holding a probe for examination having a rectangularly parallelepipedic cross section and made of a metal having a solderable outer surface and a not solderable inner surface is disclosed. At least one side of said outer surface of the metal plate is used for anchoring the chip component and the anchoring side is formed by layering a metal plate thereon. A chip component of the present utility design is advantageous in that it can be detected by means of a light sensing element regardless of the direction of the light shed from a light source, that it can be produced with an enhanced workability, a low profile and a low cost and that the terminal of a probe can be securely held without being affected by the soldering operations that may take place during manufacturing the chip.
