  • Patent number: 10960859
Abstract: An automatic brake control apparatus controls a braking device of a vehicle to execute a brake operation at a brake operating timing. The automatic brake control apparatus includes a brain activity state acquirer unit configured to acquire an activity state of a brain of a driver of the vehicle; a change determiner unit configured to use the activity state of the brain of the driver acquired after the braking device has executed a brake operation at a brake operating timing to determine whether changing the brake operating timing is necessary or unnecessary; and a change controller configured to change the brake operating timing in response to that changing the brake operating timing is determined to be necessary.

  • Publication number: 20090130474
Abstract: Regarding the scavenger for aldehyde(s) used at the time of manufacturing a woody panel using woody materials and formaldehyde-based binders, the scavenger for aldehyde(s) without lowering of trapping properly even when a surface of said woody panel is sanded and having an excellent trapping property of trapping formaldehyde is provided. Further, the method of manufacturing a woody panel using a scavenger for aldehyde(s) and a woody panel are provided. At least one kind of compound for trapping aldehyde(s) being solid at a room temperature is included and said compound for trapping aldehyde(s) is defined to be a powdery scavenger for aldehyde(s) having a property of generating acidic gas, in particular, sulfurous acid gas by heating and said compound for trapping aldehyde(s) is added to a binder or woody materials followed by a hot press, thereby manufacturing a woody panel.

  • Patent number: 6024633
Abstract: A workpiece holding device enables stable polishing to be performed without sacrificing the structural strength of a top ring or the space necessary for machining a through hole or implanting engaging pins while allowing close contact to be made between a workpiece to a polishing cloth on a polishing tool. The top ring includes a top ring member having a holder plate for holding the workpiece on a front surface and a cover plate attached to a back surface of the holder plate by engaging a depression section formed on a back surface of the holder plate with a protrusion section formed on a front surface of the cover plate. A curved surface bearing unit provided between an end portion of a drive shaft and a back surface of the cover plate couples the drive shaft and the top ring member while permitting motion of the top ring member relative to the polishing tool. At least a portion of the curved surface bearing unit is positioned within the depression section.

  • Patent number: 5966765
Abstract: A cleaning apparatus is used for cleaning a thin disk-shaped workpiece such as a semiconductor wafer, a liquid crystal display or the like. The cleaning apparatus comprises a support mechanism for supporting a workpiece and rotating the workpiece about its own axis, and a cleaning member for being in sliding contact with at least one of opposite surfaces of the workpiece. The support mechanism comprises a plurality of spindles, and a plurality of rotatable holding portions provided on upper ends of the spindles and having respective circumferential edges engageable with a circumferential edge of the workpiece. The plurality of spindles are clustered into groups around the workpiece, and two adjacent groups of the spindles are positioned to form a wide spacing between two adjacent groups of the spindles, and a path along which the workpiece is supplied to and removed from the support mechanism is positioned in the wide spacing.
