Patent number: 8476895Abstract: A power measuring system, a measuring apparatus, a load terminal, and a device control system are provided. A voltage sensor detects a voltage waveform, and a current sensor acquires a current waveform, of a power line in a noncontact manner. A load terminal operates to connect the power line and a voltage measuring terminal to measure a current flowing from the power line to a load and to calculate a voltage value from the measured current value and the load. The load terminal transmits, in response to a request from a measuring apparatus, the measured current value and the calculated voltage value to the measuring apparatus via a communication means. A control portion of the measuring apparatus receives the current value and the voltage value from the load terminal. The control portion calculates a power value based on the received current value, voltage value voltage waveform and current waveform.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 2009Date of Patent: July 2, 2013Assignee: Mitsubishi Electric CorporationInventors: Toshiyasu Higuma, Noriyuki Kushiro, Masaaki Yabe

Publication number: 20130134991Abstract: Probes of a conductor length measurement device are connected to piping, and an output voltage is applied to the piping through the probes. A frequency spectrum curve is subsequently calculated by subjecting a voltage signal to FFT. Resonant frequencies of the piping are then determined from this frequency spectrum curve, and the total length of the piping is calculated on the basis of the resonant frequencies. The total length of the piping can therefore be easily measured without the need to install, for example, any measurement instruments at branch terminals.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 25, 2011Publication date: May 30, 2013Applicant: MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC CORPORATIONInventors: Toshiyasu Higuma, Naoyuki Hibara, Tomoaki Gyota

Publication number: 20130120917Abstract: An acceleration sensor detects an acceleration. A timer measures elapsed time. A calculation means calculates jerk J of a remote controller on the basis of an acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor. A factor determination means determines whether a user is holding the remote controller in his/her hand on the basis of the change of the jerk J that is obtained from an index value calculated by the calculation means and an amount of time measured by the timer. A sleep control means turns on display of a display if the factor determination means determines that the user is holding the remote controller in his/her hand.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 24, 2011Publication date: May 16, 2013Applicant: MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC CORPORATIONInventors: Satoshi Minezawa, Toshiyasu Higuma, Yoshiaki Koizumi

Publication number: 20120032907Abstract: As for a position input apparatus that, when a user applies a pressure to an operation area, determines a pressed position where the pressure is applied, the manufacturing cost of the position input apparatus is reduced. An operation plate is a flat plate having the operation area on one surface. A plurality of pressure sensors (pressure detection devices) detect, at respectively different pressure detection positions, a detection position pressure generated by the pressure applied to the pressed position. A pressed position determination device determines the pressed position, based on a plurality of detection position pressures detected by the plurality of pressure sensors.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 19, 2010Publication date: February 9, 2012Inventors: Yoshiaki Koizumi, Naoyuki Hibara, Toshiaki Kikuta, So Nakai, Toshiyasu Higuma
