The extension sections are formed extending laterally outward from a position on a non-skin side of the absorbent body using a continuous sheet that is continuous in the lateral direction. A welded region having a predetermined length in the lateral direction is in a portion where each of the extension sections forms a leg opening.

The extended sections can directly contact the skin of the wearer.
