Patent number: 8196295Abstract: There is provided a control means for controlling movement positions and movement timings of a nozzle elevating means and a nozzle moving means. The control means stores positions and heights of obstacles located between a component supply unit and a circuit board in advance. The control means moves down a nozzle in sync with the time when the nozzle has finished passing over each obstacle after an electronic component has been photographed by a component camera. Alternatively, the control means moves the nozzle in a path to avoid the obstacles. In addition, in a component mounting region, the nozzle moves at a component mounting region movement height and the component is mounted by the nozzle moved down from the component mounting region movement height. Accordingly, it is possible to shorten an elevating stroke of the nozzle (5). In addition, the nozzle can be elevated in an arc trajectory.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 2007Date of Patent: June 12, 2012Assignee: Panasonic CorporationInventors: Shigeki Imafuku, Takeyuki Kawase, Yoichi Tanaka, Osamu Okuda, Takanori Yoshitake, Toshiyuki Kino

Patent number: 8196294Abstract: A method of mounting supply components includes the step of inserting dish-like members into a base. Each dish-like member holds components. One dish-like member can stay inserted in the base while the other dish-like member is removed from the base and refilled with components.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 2008Date of Patent: June 12, 2012Assignee: Panasonic CorporationInventors: Toshiyuki Kino, Takeyuki Kawase, Tomio Tanaka, Yuji Tanaka

Publication number: 20080313890Abstract: A component mounter includes a board transfer rail for positioning a board at a predetermined position on a base, and a transfer head for picking up a component supplied and mounting it on the board positioned by the board transfer rail. The component mounter further includes multiple dish-like members inserted to the base for supplying components placed on them to a movement area of the transfer head. These dish-like members are independently removable from the base.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 3, 2008Publication date: December 25, 2008Applicant: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Toshiyuki Kino, Takeyuki Kawase, Tomio Tanaka, Yuji Tanaka

Patent number: 7458147Abstract: The present invention provides a device and a method for determining whether or not a component holder is good, which enable detecting component holders that are to affect correct component recognition and further enable preventing interferences between constituent devices, a component mounting apparatus with the determining device, and a component mounting method. The determining device has an illuminating device, a CCD camera and a controller to determine whether or not a suction nozzle is good based on luminance at a component hold face of the suction nozzle. The suction nozzle having light reflectance of the component hold face increased to a level whereat a correct recognition of an electronic component held by the suction nozzle is affected, can be detected accordingly. An interference preventing device is also provided, so that interference between the CCD camera and the suction nozzle can be prevented.Type: GrantFiled: August 7, 2003Date of Patent: December 2, 2008Assignee: Panasonic CorporationInventors: Takeyuki Kawase, Toshiyuki Kino, Takanori Yoshitake, Kimiaki Sano, Yoshiyuki Hattori, Takashi Yazawa, Hiroshi Uchiyama, Youichi Tanaka, Shigeki Imafuku, Iwao Kanetaka, Tamaki Ogura
