  • Patent number: 6513462
Abstract: A scale removing device for removes scale adhering to the interior of a shell-and-tube-heat-exchanger-type steam generator. The scale removing device is provided with a flexible lance (58) holding a high-pressure water hose (91) movable with respect to a tube plate, tube support plates, and heat-transfer tubes. A cleaning head (60) is mounted to the forward end of the flexible lance. Formed inside the cleaning head is a cavitation generating nozzle hole (99a, 99b) communicating with the high-pressure water hose. Bubbles are generated at the time of cleaning, and the impact pressure generated when the bubbles collapse is propagated to remove scale over a wide range.

  • Patent number: 5034178
Abstract: A process and apparatus for manufacturing an embossed article of synthetic resin including heating a synthetic resin sheet to a softening temperature; pressing the heated synthetic resin sheet on an embossing die by a press die. The embossing die being made by an electro-chemical molding process and having an embossing surface with an embossing pattern thereon and a multitude of fine vacuum pores distributed uniformly over the entire embossing surface. Forcing the synthetic resin sheet against the embossing surface by applying suction through the fine vacuum pores to imprint the embossing pattern onto the synthetic resin sheet. The press die having an undercut shaping portion. Applying blowing pressure through the embossing dies and applying a vacuum through the undercut shaping portion. Thus, releasing the synthetic resin sheet from the embossing surface and forming an undercut in the synthetic resin sheet.

  • Patent number: 4882002
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a composite panel capable of shock absorption comprising applying a bonding agent with an added cross-linking agent on a surface of a foam member to form a primer treatment surface thereon and applying to a surface of a laminating member the same or a similar bonding agent with added cross-linking agent. The treated surfaces of the foam member and laminating member are then placed into contact with one another and the two members are bonded together while heating the same and applying pressure thereto.

  • Patent number: 4841618
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an air permeable electrocast shell comprising forming a conductive layer on the surface of a model, placing a layer of elutable particles into close contact with the surface of the conductive layer and effecting an electrocasting treatment to deposit metal between the conductive layer and the particles, except for the points of contact between the conductive layer and the particles, and between adjoining particles. The deposit of the metal is controlled so that the thickness of the electrocast shell is less than that of the particle layer. Thereafter, the particles are eluted from the electrocast shell to form innumberable fine vent holes which open at both surfaces of the electrocast shell.

  • Patent number: 4601652
Abstract: A process and an apparatus for producing a molded skin product such as an interior decoration member like an instrument panel for an automobile or other vehicle. The process includes charging a desired amount of synthetic resin powder into a treating container disposed facing a predetermined shaped molding mold surface. The mold surface is heated to a temperature of at least the melting temperature of the synthetic resin. The powder is spattered onto the mold surface by violently agitating the same by an agitation means whereby a fused coating of the powder is formed on the mold surface. The spattering is discontinued when the coating reaches a predetermined thickness. The mold surface is cooled thereby solidifying the coating to form the molded skin material. The molded skin material is then removed from the mold surface. The powder can be fluidized during the spattering.
