  • Patent number: 6913105
Abstract: A shock-absorbing mechanism for a power-transmission device includes a cylindrical driven-side shaft coupled to the driving-side shaft through a constant-velocity joint to be axially relatively slidable with respect to the driving-side shaft, a center bearing for rotatably supporting the driving-side shaft to the vehicle body, and a labyrinth mechanism for sealing the inside of the center bearing. An end of the driven-side shaft on the side of the driving-side shaft is disposed axially opposite to the labyrinth mechanism. When the two shafts are slid in the direction to approach each other by an axial load input thereto, the end of the driven-side shaft collides axially with the labyrinth mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20040195543
Abstract: The object of the invention is to provide polyester-based fiber which maintains physical properties of usual polyester fiber, such as heat resistance, strength and elongation and is excellent in setting ability with controlled gloss of the fiber, artificial hair using the same, a method of producing polyester-based fiber, and a method of producing artificial hair by using the same. To achieve the object, a composition obtained by melt-kneading polyalkylene terephthalate or a copolymerized polyester (A) based on polyalkylene terephthalate, polyarylate (B) and a phosphite compound (C) is melt-spun to form fiber. In the case of melt-kneading, the ester exchange reaction of components (A) and (B) is prevented due to the inhibitory effect of the component (C) on the ester exchange reaction, the heat resistance and physical properties of the fiber are not deteriorated, and a matte effect is brought about by formation of protrusions on the surface of the fiber.

  • Publication number: 20030096653
Abstract: A power train includes a driving shaft and a follower shaft connecting to the driving shaft by way of a first joint. The follower shaft is adapted to slide relative to the driving shaft in an axial direction. The follower shaft includes: a holder shaped substantially into a cylinder, and a tubular shaft section coupled with the holder in the axial direction. The first joint includes a member defining an outer diameter. The holder holds therein the member of the first joint. The tubular shaft section coupled with the holder in the axial direction causes an inner curl to a second joint coupling the holder and the tubular shaft section. The inner curl defines an inner diameter greater than the outer diameter of the member of the first joint.

  • Patent number: 6280340
Abstract: An impact-absorbable power transmission device is constituted by establishing a frictional spline connection between a shaft and a pipe to allow an axial slide therebetween and to forbid a relative rotation therebetween. An inner race of a universal joint is fixed to another end portion of the shaft by press-fitting. A flange for receiving a press-fitting force of the inner race is formed at an intermediate portion of the shaft. Therefore, the power transmission device ensures an impact absorbing performance while avoiding a lowering of a mechanical strength caused by the inner race installing operation.

  • Patent number: 5251833
Abstract: A method of winding an armature of an electric rotating machine, wherein vectors representing amounts of unbalance measured at the respective winding portions are composed to obtain a basic resultant vector which in turn is split into two components directed along two adjacent winding portions. The two components are then used to calculate amount of unbalance based on which the number of turns of two armature windings to be wound around the two adjacent winding portions is corrected and the number of turns of armature windings to be wound around the respective winding portions is determined. Finally, the armature windings are formed around the respective winding portions based on the determined number of turns.
