  • Patent number: 4901119
Abstract: A video signal recording and/or reproduction apparatus in which an analog video signal from the inlet is digitized to form video data, then the video data are stored in a memory means for a time, then the stored video data are read out from the memory means before they are recorded on a recording medium. When reproducing the recorded video data from the recording medium, the reproduced video data are stored in a memory means for a time, then the stored video data are read out from the memory means, then the analog video signal is restored from the read video data, and then the analog video signal is produced at the output of the apparatus. Further, by taking the synchronism of the write and read control signals of different frequency for either of the memory means of the recording and reproducing systems, it is made possible to assure accurate and reliable conversion between the analog and digital forms of the video signals when either in the record or in the reproduction mode.

  • Patent number: 4875222
Abstract: An information signal transmission system for transmitting a code sequence in which mutually adjoining codes are correlated with each other. The information signal transmission system is arranged to compute a predictive code for each code sequence by using "n" number (n.gtoreq.2) of codes included in the same code sequence; to compute a difference code relative to a difference between the predictive code and the code corresponding to the predictive code. The system to thus obtains a group of difference codes corresponding to "m" number (m.gtoreq.n) of consecutive codes included in the code sequence and transmits codes by adding the predictive code corresponding to one of the "m" number of the consecutive code to the difference code group.

  • Patent number: 4675867
Abstract: A data processing device for processing data including a first data sequence indicative of the amplitude of an information signal and a second data sequence each data of which indicates the error rate of each data of the first data sequence. When each data of the second data sequence continuously shows a high error rate of a consecutive number of data of the first data sequence more than a predetermined number, the device generates data of values which are 1/a.sup.k (wherein "k" represents an integer between 1 and "n"; "a" a real number larger than 1; and "n" an integer at least 2) of a data of the first data sequence which has a low error rate and is located before or after the consecutive high error rate data of the first data sequence. The device performs data processing for muting the information signal by using these data.
