The information about the position of the object is obtained based on holding information indicating whether the object is held or not held by the mobile object and information about a position of the mobile object. The information about the position of the mobile object is obtained based on a captured image captured by an imaging device.

Abstract: Disclosed is a tilt type steering system having: a steering column having its one end part into which a handle shaft fixed with a steering wheel is rotatably inserted; a pivotal supporting unit for pivotally supported the other end part of the steering column; an adjusting unit for adjusably locating and releasably fixing the steering wheel in an arbitrary position with respect to the car body within the range of pivotal movement of the steering column; a tilt lever for controlling the fixation and the release of the steering column with respect to the car body by the adjusting unit; and a shearing bolt having a head part sheared off when undergoing predetermined or greater torque in order to fix the tilt lever to the adjusting unit.

Abstract: A resilient connector for a steering shaft connecting a wheel steering system and a steering handle, comprises a flange member connected to a first shaft member extending from the wheel steering system, particularly in such a manner that it can be shifted axially but not rotated with respect to the first shaft member; a yoke member connected through a universal joint to a second shaft member extending from the steering handle; a resilient member arranged between the flange member and the yoke member; a first connecting member for connecting the flange member to the resilient member; and a second connecting member for connecting the yoke member to the resilient member. Vibration from the wheel steering system is prevented from being transmitted to the steering handle by the resilient member, and the resilient member permits an axial movement of the first shaft member during a collision.

Abstract: A shock absorbing steering apparatus has a steering column having a steering shaft pivotably supported thereon, a distance bracket secured to the column, and a column bracket for fixing the column to a vehicle body through the distance bracket. The steering apparatus further has a curling plate provided between a fastening bolt inserted in the distance bracket and the column bracket, and a curling plate bent portion controlling guide member secured to the column side for containing the curling plate and restraining the U-shaped bent portion thereon. That portion of the distance bracket in which the fastening bolt is inserted is opened to the steering wheel side, and the curling plate, when shocked, has its U-shaped bent portion plastically deformed and moved while being restrained by the guide member, thereby absorbing shock energy.
