  • Publication number: 20240125929
Abstract: A target object detection apparatus (20) includes an acquisition unit (210), a likelihood information generation unit (220), and a determination unit (230). The acquisition unit (210) acquires an IF signal from an irradiation apparatus (10) at a plurality of timings. The likelihood information generation unit (220) executes, by processing the IF signal, processing of generating, with respect to each of a plurality of IF signals, likelihood information for a region (hereinafter, referred to as a target object region) having a possibility in that an accompaniment, i.e., a target object is present. The likelihood information indicates a distribution of presence probabilities of a target object in at least a height direction in a target object region. Then, the determination unit (230) determines a presence or absence of a target object, by using likelihood information generated for each of a plurality of target object regions.

  • Patent number: 11776445
Abstract: It is intended to make it possible to make a favorable display of, for example, images of low frame-rate content, with a high-luminance and high-contrast television set. On the basis of an image stream having a first frame rate, for each frame, an object having luminance exceeding a luminance threshold value and/or a motion amount exceeding a motion-amount threshold value is detected as a target object. An image stream having a second frame rate larger than the first frame rate is acquired by inserting, between every pair of two consecutive frames in the image stream having the first frame rate, a predetermined number of frames of interpolated images obtained by performing motion compensation for causing the target object to sequentially move.

  • Patent number: 11523120
Abstract: The present technology makes it easy to present an image having appropriate image quality at a receiver side that receives high-frame-rate moving image data. A video stream obtained by encoding moving image data having a high frame rate is generated. A container containing the video stream is transmitted. Blur control information for controlling blur is inserted into a layer of the container and/or a layer of the video stream. The blur control information gives, for example, weighting coefficients for individual frames in a blurring process for adding image data of neighboring frames to image data of a current frame.

  • Patent number: 10832636
Abstract: Provided is a device and a method in which an HDR image of which a setting luminance is higher than the highest allowable luminance of a display unit, can be displayed as a bright image in a bright audiovisual environment. An adjusted luminance for output is calculated by multiplying an output luminance calculated according to an input/output transfer function corresponding to an input HDR image, and a predetermined gain, together, and thus, a display image is generated. An image signal processing unit sets a reference point P to be in a position based on the highest allowable luminance of a display unit, and calculates the adjusted luminance for output by applying a gain function of setting a gain, based on the reference point P, to an input/output transfer function according to the input HDR image, and thus, generates the display image.

  • Patent number: 7522161
Abstract: An image processing device for displaying an image in high quality on color image display using fixed pixels. The image processing device causes a display device making pixels of R, G and B arranged inside each of a plurality of areas on a screen emit light to display a designated color in unit areas. A signal generation circuit determines a pixel of which an arrangement position is not matched with a reference position of the unit area used for reference by a first pixel signal as a target to be interpolated among pixels of R, G and B, generates a second pixel signal which uses the arrangement position of the pixel to be interpolated as a reference on the basis of the first pixel signal.

  • Patent number: 6525459
Abstract: A 90 percent electron gun aperture astigmatism is used in conjunction with a four-pole electromagnet to make a CRT electron beam just focus point and minimum beam width occur closer to the same focus voltage. A single grid may have the 90 percent astigmatism, or astigmatisms in two or more grids may combine to produce an effective 90 percent astigmatism. A four-pole electromagnet is positioned around the focusing grid and current driving the electromagnet is varied with beam position during normal operation.

  • Patent number: 6050783
Abstract: A plurality of cylinder bores are circumferentially formed in a cylinder block around its center axis to receive a plurality of pistons, respectively. The cylinder block has one end closed by a front housing to define a crank chamber. The cylinder block has another end closed by a rear member in which a discharge chamber and a suction chamber are formed. A drive shaft penetrates the front housing and has one end supported by the cylinder block through a block-side bearing. Following a rotary motion of the drive shaft, a swash-plate element drives a reciprocating motion of the piston within the bore. A blowby gas leaking into the crank chamber is introduced into the suction chamber a gas passage through an gap inevitably left between the drive shaft and the block-side bearing back.

  • Patent number: 5936363
Abstract: A system to correct and adjust horizontal-direction pincushion and barrel distortions of scanning lines caused at upper and lower portions of a picture screen of a cathode-ray tube includes a pair of coils provided at a neck portion of the cathode-ray tube. An orbit of an electron beam made incident on a deflection center is shifted in the upper and lower directions by a magnetic field generated by the coils, thereby correcting distortion of scanning lines at upper and lower portions of a display screen of the cathode-ray tube.

  • Patent number: 5495789
Abstract: A swash plate type refrigerant compressor comprises a compressor housing enclosing therein a crank chamber, a suction chamber and a discharge chamber. A swash plate is tiltably connected to the drive shaft and has two sliding surfaces sides thereof. The swash plate includes a sliding surface which engages a plurality of pairs of shoes. The shoes couple the swash plate to the pistons so that the pistons may be driven in a reciprocating motion within the cylinder bores upon rotation of the swash plate. At least one groove is formed in the sliding contact surfaces between the swash plate and the shoes. The groove captures and retains lubricating oil in the refrigerant in response to the rotation of the swash plate.

  • Patent number: 5436669
Abstract: In order to display a video signal having an aspect ratio of 4 to 3 on a video display screen having a 16 to 9 aspect ratio a nonlinear vertical deflection signal is used to compress the video image along the top and bottom edges of the 16 to 9 aspect ratio screen. The video image is compressed only along the top and bottom edges of the screen because it has been found that motion of the point of view of the viewer relative to the displayed image is generally horizontal but is infrequently vertical. One approach to providing the non-linear vertical deflection waveform is to detect whether the input video signal for display on a 16 to 9 aspect ratio screen is a 4 to 3 aspect ratio signal and, if so, to read out special, non-linear data from a memory. This special waveform data is used to generate the non-linear vertical deflection waveform.

  • Patent number: 5427224
Abstract: An apparatus for conveying and aligning various types of film packages recovered for recycling. A conveyer of the apparatus is constructed by a pair of parallel belts combined to form a V-shaped bearing gutter and driven in the same conveying direction. The film packages are conveyed on the conveyer and are slid downward through an inclined cylindrical tube which rotates about the longitudinal axis and has spiral ridges on the inner periphery. Thereby, the longitudinal direction of the film packages are aligned with the conveying direction. Then a posture discriminator discriminates between the upright posture and the upside-down posture of the film packages on a first conveying path, based on the position of the viewfinder. The film packages having the upright posture are caused to fall headlong from the first conveying path onto a second conveying path, so as to have the upside-down posture on the second conveying path.

  • Patent number: 5408288
Abstract: A lens-fitted photographic film unit has a film supply chamber preloaded with unexposed photographic film. A cassette-containing chamber contains a film cassette. The film after exposure is wound on a spool of the cassette. The film unit is provided with a mechanism for exposing the film in a succession of frames. An axial hole is formed in an upper end of the spool. Knurled inner teeth are formed inside the axial hole. A wind-up wheel is mounted on the film unit over the cassette-containing chamber to be externally operable for rotation. A drive shaft on the wind-up wheel protrudes into the cassette-containing chamber, and is received in the axial hole. Knurled outer teeth about the drive shaft mesh with the inner teeth on the spool. The drive shaft and spool will thus mesh with each other in any relatively rotated position thereof, which avoids loss of usable film.
