  • Patent number: 5390699
Abstract: A reed valve assembly is mounted in a valve chamber formed in an intake passage of a crankcase of a two-stroke cycle engine and the reed valve assembly comprises a box-shaped valve body having a base end opened and secured to an intake pipe and a front end converging towards the crankcase, the valve body being provided with valve openings formed to side surfaces of the valve body, and reed valves resiliently provided for the valve openings. The valve chamber has opposing inner wall surfaces gently curved outwardly for forming expanded portions between the side surfaces of the valve body and the expanded surfaces of the valve chamber. The curved surfaces of the inner wall surfaces of the valve body converge towards an interior of the crankcase with an inclination of about 10 to 20 degrees and a maximum lateral width of each of the expanded portions is defined to about 5 to 10 mm.

  • Patent number: 5385031
Abstract: A rotational speed of a fan is maintained at a preset one when an angle of a flap is at a maximum air-flow angle, increased by a specified value when the angle of the flap has been changed by a specified angle in the direction away from the position of the maximum air-flow angle, and decreased by a specified value when the angle of the flap has been changed by a specified angle in the direction toward the position of the maximum air-flow angle. It is possible to prevent any occurrence of condensation and air-flow pulsating noise without needing any complex control such as load response control and yet without requiring any complicate construction in the flap.

  • Patent number: 5379368
Abstract: A printing control method and apparatus for combining forms data and printing data to produce and output printing images. Forms data are handled as a group of forms data including a plurality of component data groups forming partial form elements and component placement information groups specifying intra-page positions of components. For form selection, component placement selection information is selected in the printing data. Component placement information selected and indicated by this component placement selection information is used for form generation. If a plurality of components are the same in partial form elements, therefore, a plurality of kinds of forms data can use components in common and are administered by only component placement information specifying intra-page positions of respective components. As for forms data needed at the time of printing, therefore, components of form elements are placed and combined in accordance with the component placement information.

  • Patent number: 5275707
Abstract: A method of coating a metal article by forming a first electrodeposition coating layer having varistor properties on a metal article by an electrodeposition coating method by use of an electrodeposition coating film-forming composition containing from 7 to 50 parts by weight of an electrically semiconductive substance per 100 parts by weight of the solid content of the composition, and then forming a second electrodeposition coating layer on said first electrodeposition coating layer by an electrodeposition coating method by use of an anionic or cationic electrodeposition paint while applying a voltage exceeding the varistor voltage. The coating composition thus-produced has excellent varistor properties with superior corrosion resistance.

  • Patent number: 5150556
Abstract: A chord truss roof includes a ring-girder, cross beams arranged radially around the ring-girder, chord members stretched between the respective cross beams and the ring-girder. The roof supports itself by tensioning the chord members. The ring-girder has an upper compression ring, a lower tension ring, and plural struts connecting the two rings. The chord members arranged opposite one another with both end portions of the tension ring interposed therebetween are connected to the corresponding end portions of the tension ring, and are joined to one another via connection members which are disposed between both end portions of the tension ring. Further, each strut is provided along a line which bisects the angle made by a corresponding chord member and the plane defined by the tension ring.

  • Patent number: 5148650
Abstract: With the conventional radiating truss roof support array, the inner-truss connecting members form multiple complete rings radiating from the central portion of the roof to the periphery at fixed intervals. When tension is applied to the periphery of the roof, a constricting annular compression is generated in each of the concentric rings of inner-truss connecting members. By this mechanism, the tension applied to the periphery is somewhat dissipated, and a less than optimal effect on the curvature of the dome of the roof is achieved for a given amount of tension applied to the periphery. The present invention concerns a radiating truss roof support array constructed in such a manner as to eliminate the above described problem of induced annular constriction in the concentric rings of inner-truss connecting members.

  • Patent number: 4809743
Abstract: A fuel pipe device for motor vehicles comprising a pipe main body having a plurality of holes formed in its peripheral wall and outward tubular projections each formed around each of the holes integrally with the wall for connecting branch pipes to the pipe main body. The device is produced by a process comprising bulging the peripheral wall of a pipe blank at each of the portions thereof to be connected to the branch pipes to form a tubular protrusion having a closed end, forming a hole in the center of the end closing wall of the protrusion, and bending the remaining portion of the end closing wall around the hole outward by burring flush with the peripheral wall of the protrusion to form the tubular projection. Alternatively, the device is produced by a process comprising forming a hole in a pipe blank at each of the portions thereof to be connected to the branch pipes, and bending the hole-defining portion of the blank outward by burring to form the projection.
