  • Patent number: 7825187
Abstract: The invention provides a water resistant molding material that can be stably manufactured while being excellent in water resistance after dried, and a producing method for the water resistant molding material. The water resistant molding material comprises a binder resin containing a polyvinyl alcohol resin, a viscosity control agent, water and a filler, wherein the concentration of acetate ions is adjusted in the range from 500 to 12,000 ppm by blending, for example, an acetate ion controlling agent (such as NH4NO3, NaOH and KCl).

  • Publication number: 20090043015
Abstract: There is provided a creamy light-weight molding material which has good fluidity to be readily squeezed, provides excellent shape retentivity, and provides excellent storage stability. The light-weight molding material is composed of a binder resin containing a polyvinyl alcohol resin, a viscosity adjusting agent, water, and a light-weight material, wherein the light-weight material content is from 3 to 22% by weight, and the water content is from 65 to 92%, and a mixing ratio (weight ratio) of water to the polyvinyl alcohol resin is from 3 to 300.
